“really not the quality of a Hilton property”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

I mean, I can't complain too much, bc we used our Hilton points and I think that it wasnt more than $150 a night if we didnt. I think I would feel good paying around $85 a night if I came back. The staff is great, no problems there, but this hotel is so old and outdated, there is no way it warrents the Hilton name. The rooms are fairly small as well as the bathroom being tiny. There is some cleanliness issues too, and only bc I think the hotel is so old. The elevator is AWFUL. That is my main complaint. It was super slow and sometimes we were so thankful that it even opened on our floor. One day it broke down for the entire day and the wait was crazy. They really need to do some major renovations. We enjoyed the breakfast and opted not the get the meat for the extra $6, which really should have been included for diamond Hilton members, but it was good for us and our eating habits. We enjoyed the pool and the walk to the beach which was close and nice, but they did seem to bee cleaning something outside or on the stairs all the time, which I would think they would do late night hours and not during the day when you had to climb over equipment or hear the pressure washer for hours while at the pool. Best part about our stay was cookies and the view of the marina!

Room Tip: we had room 1114 and it had a nice view...we had a tiny ocean view and mainly the marina which was g...

This hotel is located right across the beach and within the Marina that hosts the International Boat Show. It is also on the intercoastal, so you can take the water taxi, which is very conveniant. The rates are excellent as is the staff. The rooms are a bit outdated, but everything else is great.

The room was nice but the hallway on the second floor stunk to high heaven. It was a smile that almost made you want to puke when you walk down the hallway. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed the view of the harbor.

This is the second time we stayed here for an extended weekend getaway. The rooms were clean and had lots of space and a great view of the ocean. One problem we encountered was the elevators. They were extremely slow and at times the doors would not close properly. The only other issue was the fact that beach lounge chairs were $12 each. This should have been included in the price of the room like most hotels. The gardens in the back of the building and the exterior landscaping were very nice. Overall, a good value for the area.

traveling with kids is never easy but checking in after 4 is to late in my opinion. Especially if you arrive before 3. The Rainy season in Florida limits your ability to adjust on the fly. So plan to eat a late lunch or a very early dinner

Great location for a beach getaway during low season! Self parking is a bit expensive due to lack of offsite parking. Decent restaurants are a short walk away and beautiful Ft. Lauderdale beach is right in front.
