For the money you can't really beat this hotel. i searched all the beach hotels in ft lauderdale and this place was a third less than all the comparables. It is a little different of a set up that can be a pain. eg: lobby on 5th floor, sometimes a decent wait for elevators with a lot of stops and the wacky parking garage. however, if you learn not to be in rush while there it will be a lot of fun. bars, restaurants and shops right downstairs and of course the glorious beach just accross the street.

You cannot beat this location for a mix of city life and the beach. Most newer timeshares are much smaller. The lock off room allows us to bring guest, who have their own self contained area or can enjoy the main kitchen & living room with us. Love the balcony feature.Owners parking is free. If you must rush every where on vacation this might not be for you. Love that the rooms are not street level and you have privacy being the pool is on a upper floor also. The staff is wonderful, I have sent back reviews on those who have gone the extra mile to help us, never have had any problems with them at all. It's all about the travelers approach to staff anywhere. As far as cleaning and laundry go, the timeshare owners have to pay maintenance fees that are expensive every year. Our board members try to give the most features possible while keeping the cost to owners manageable. We have witnessed "hotel guest" treating the property and staff horribly. The mall attached is not owned by BeachPlace Towers. We believe we are getting excellent value and service for our money. Can't wait to be there again in a couple of weeks!

We are Marriott timeshare owners, and this was our first stay. We had a great 2 bedroom high floor suite overlooking the city. The sunsets were gorgeous almost every night. It had the usual Marriott immaculate furnishings and cleanliness, and we love having a full kitchen to save some money, time and eat sensibly. The pool area overlooks the ocean, and the building is right on the beach on A1A. It couldn't be more convenient for beach-goers. Also, there is very secure on-site parking, which is great for this area.

About the only problem areas were the checkin, which was delayed by 90 minutes, and the elevators, one of which was out of service at times, causing delays in peak periods. Aldo, the wireless internet service was very slow.

We stayed for 2 nights before a cruise with 10 members of our family. We had 2 two bedroom units facing the ocean. Rooms were very nicely decorated and we had great views of the ocean. However, as others have mentioned parking was very aggrevating to so the least. Also, wait times at elevators could be considerable as these elevators also serviced the parking garage for beach people not staying at the property. We also found the items in their onsite snack shop and takeout to be very pricey. Would I stay there again? - probably, but not before checking out others places nearby.

A friend got us a great deal here, we had read about the parking and yes it is horrible, you must go around and around up about 6 floors. Parking spaces are tight, the elevators are so slow as they are used by the shops, restaurants, parking and hotel.

All rooms are very nice, very spacious, great bedding, unfortunately every room is an adjoining room and well you may as well be sitting beside the people in the room beside you as you can hear everything.

We faced the beach and pool, sure was lovely but the restaurants/stores below caused a lot of noise so in the evening you must close the door. During the day the Hooters restaurant below vents out and all you smell is grease.

No maid service -- beach access is easy and staff were very friendly.

We love staying at Beach Place. We use the lock off of our Ocean Point timeshare to book a week there. Yes the pool is small and in the shadow of the building after 2PM in Feb. but beach is just across A1A, The garage can be a chalenge but doesn't bother me and the elevators are busy on the weekends. But you can't beat the location and we will be back next year.

My friends and I came for a two day getaway. I had read parking would be an issue but it wasn't. You just drive up to the upper levels of the parking garage where the hotel has their own private parking as opposed to public parking. An elevator in the parking garage takes you directly to the lobby where the front desk is. Also, people have commented on how horrible the elevators are but they were quick and got us where we needed to go everytime we used them. The Front Desk Manager was extremely nice and got us checked-in and was even able to get us on the same floor for our two rooms.

My friends room had a beautiful view of the Intracoastal and the city skyline at night. Our view was ocean front. Both were fantastic so you can't lose view wise at this place! The rooms were huge! We both had a one bedroom villa. There was a full kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, dining area, and living area. The bedroom had a massive jacuzzi tub in it with a vanity, and then the bathroom had a nice sized walk-in shower. The balcony had chairs and a table as well and we could look down on the pool area.

While we were there they pressure washed the pool grounds and it was neat to watch from the balcony. It was nice to see that they keep their facilities clean. To get to the beach you go down the elevator, walk through a little shopping mall, and then you are directly on the beach. The water was surprisingly a gorgeous color. I'm used to the Caribbean but this was still a lot prettier than what I expected! We went swimming for awhile and then walked up and down the beach.

We had breakfast in the little Market in the lobby in the morning. The concierge helped us decide what we wanted to do for our last day. He was extremely helpful. We ended up going on a cruise of the Intracoastal looking at huge houses and yachts. It was relaxing and there were some pretty cool places to look at.
