This property was our fist foray into timeshare owner ship with Marriott. The process of getting one was seamless and we have THOROUGHLY made use of our time and trading capabilities. That being said the hotel itself is a great property on the water in Ft. Lauderdale A1A blvd. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Depending on what you are doing I don't recommend renting a car. Parking is very expensive and the garage is a pain in the rear to get in and out of. (But it depends what you want to do). The entrance to the hotel is through the Beach place entrance through the parking garage and then up to the lobby (I think 5th floor) The check-in staff has been courteous twice of the 4 times, the other times they have relatively just walked through the motions and not really cared that we were there. Now, there are two main issues I have with this hotel; 1. The elevators are the slowest things known to man, and there are 4 of them, and i mean SLOW!! 2. The cleaning and service staff for the most part ( a few have not been bad) but for the most part, they are MEAN!!! Most are of Haitian decent, ( I say this not to be rude, but they make up majority of work force) and are mean, rude and have shown major unprofessional attitudes towards myself and others that have stayed at the hotel that I have referred. A serious case of customer service training need be have. Other than thoe two things I love this property and try and go back every so often, however I love the trading feature of Interval so we generally trade our week.

Room Tip: Low floor as to not have to wait for 30 minutes or an elevator High floor on Ocean side have the be...

We really enjoyed our short one night stay here before our cruise. I knew this was a time share when I booked, but I expected something different. The rooms were very nice, but we kind of thought we would have a "resort" like setting. Not a hotel on top of a drab & dirty garage.

We got a 2 bedroom for 2 couples and a child. The room was amazing, full kitchen, living room, nice dining area and bedroom/bath on each side of living area. The second bedroom had their own kitchenette, as it could be used as a studio. Nice new furnishing and decorations.

However like others have said, we were not at all impressed with the parking garage...Small tight turns and we had to drive up to 5th floor then elevator to lobby. Check out was not easy, one clerk and several families trying to check out.

Not sure I would want to stay here for a week, maybe just a couple of days.

Room Tip: Don't really have a tip.

Recently exchanged a week from my welk timeshare, the did the accommodations trough Int International, upon arrival the receptionist did not smile or greet you, she did not know how to set up a deposit of $250! Instead of holding the money in the card she went ahead and charged (I am still trying to get the money back) you need to pay $6 if you want clean towels!! Or trash bags! So it means you must the same towels over and over if you don't want to pay, you need to pay parking daily $14 !! They give only one bag of coffee for he whole week !!! and no STOVE!!! I guess they expected me to cook my turkey in a small microwave !!!.
No the service you expect from a Marriott hotel, we left in the middle the week ...with no thanksgiving diner! Unhappy family !

Thank you for sharing your review of Marriott’s BeachPlace Towers. We are sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. Our resort offers one and two bedroom villas which include a full kitchen. You exchanged into a deluxe guest room which does not have a kitchen.
As an exchange guest, you may purchase daily housekeeping service for a fee. Complimentary housekeeping is included for guests paying a nightlyrental rate. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your feedback.

This is a timeshare and they will want to give you "free gifts" Just avoid them! You have to get into the "hotel" part by going thru the parking garage there is not a normal lobby until you go up like 5 floors then there is the reception part. I think I would rather say at one of the ma and pa hotels on the beach then this place!

Just to set some expectations up front. This is not a hotel. It's a condotel or timeshare (Marriott), and not a particularly impressive one at that.

The entrance through the parking lot is a real downer, almost seedy, and does not set the tone for a relaxing beach vacation. I have seen more impressive entrances at a Howard Johnson. Even the taxi driver who took us to our cruise ship said it was the worst pick up for passengers among all the hotels in Fort Lauderdale. It takes 10 minutes to navigate your way from the parking They built a hotel right in top of a parking lot and expect guests to hike up through it to get the lobby! The lobby is more like the front desk at a cheap hotel. You will not have turndown housekeeping, no chocolates on bedside, bathrobe, newspaper, room service or minibar. If you have a sofabed, expect to make it yourself with the beddings in the closet. Daily cleaning service is extra. Toiletries are very-motel like; if you are fussy, bring your own.

When you get over those realities, the room is actually very nice. Newly renovated and paint still fresh-smelling. We had a one bedroom that was very spacious and clean. The large kitchen is well equipped with granite countertop, eating utensils and such. Nice bathroom -modern sinks, great shower head, big shower, although the shower and ventilation were very noisy. The water is slightly yellowish due to mineral content, which apparently is commonplace to the region and safe. Parking is $13

Front desk staff was friendly andcompetent, and graciously gave us a later checkout upon request.
There is a 24 hour CVS with everything from alcohol to ... Well, everything, along with a Subways. There are two decently rated restaurants nearby, Lulu's and H2O (based on yelp at 3 stars or more). The ones that are beachfront have really low ratings (1-2 stars) and have to give out coupons to keep business up. Lulu's had good Cajun and bar food.

I was mystified by the large variation of reviews of this place and it think it's because people assume this is a four star hotel because it's a Marriott and not a particularly inexpensive one. It's not a hotel and while the room is four star, IMHO, the lobby and common areas are closer to a two star. Also of you are expecting a beachside hotel, be forewarned: you have to cross the street to get to the beach. We didn't go to the beach, so I can't shed light on that experience.

Thank you for staying with us at Marriott’s BeachPlace Towers. While the resort does not have some of the amenities of a full-service hotel, we do provide luxury one and two bedroom villas with full kitchens and awesome beach and intercoastal views. We also feature a comprehensive activties program for our guests. Your feedback regarding the parking garage is important to us and will be shared with the resort leadership team for further review. We stayed for 5 nights for our honeymoon and had a great stay. They gave us a complimentory mini bottle of wine and chocolates. The rooms was amazing, all brand new. The cleaning lady seemed to be a little lazy though, I am not sure that she changed the sheets as often as I would have liked.

If you are up for being in the hear to the Ft. Lauderdale Beach action, this is a great location. We had a studio room with balcony facing the ocean. The room was very clean and modern and the view of the ocean was amazing. If there was any minor issue with this hotel, I would agree with the parking garage being very tight. My advice, park and walk to as many locations as possible. Plenty of options within walking distance. Service was great!
