We stayed here for 2 nights in December 2013.

The hotel is located totally out of town, it takes at least 20 min by car to get to Edison home and the rest of Fort Myers and about one hour to Sanibel Island.

The room was large, obviously new, but the styling and furniture seemed old-fashioned to us. Next to the bed there is a LARGE air-conditioning machine making lots of noise when working. The window could not be opened.
The breakfast was included in the room rate. The breakfast area was more like that of a gas station than a nice breakfast area. We found a place somewhere else in the lobby which was ok. But unfortunately all the tables were dirty, we had to clean our table ourselves. And: the next day we found our own crumbs from the day before on the same table, so no cleaning was done in between. Breakfast staff was not that friendly und seemed unmotivated to us. We kindly asked for a vegetarian option of the warm dishes offered and what the lady prepared for us was ONE small piece of one of the dishes, clearly showing not to ask for anything else.

We would not return to this hotel as we found it to be too far away from everything and to provide a too low service quality.

We travel quite a bit and this is our favorite hotel. We have stayed here multiple times. The smell as soon as you walk in the door is welcoming. The person working at the front desk always greets you, no matter what time, day or night. The rooms are very nice and always clean. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms include a very large sectional couch that doubles as a sleeper sofa. Food is available 24/7 at a reasonable price. The free breakfast is fantastic. The breakfast sandwiches are restaurant quality. I've yet to visit the pool area, but it looks nice. The area is quiet , despite being right off of I-75. The staff are wonderful. We travel to Fort Myers often and we will be booking this hotel every time.

Room Tip: William Shatner will lead you in the right direction

This is a newer hotel, is clean and the location is easy access to most of the Lee county area. The rooms were a little smaller than I'm used to for this class, but not bad. What was bad was the size and design of the bathroom. I'm not overweight, etc I'm 6'2" and 200 lbs. Not huge or anything. I have a 12 YO who is 5'4" and 100 lbs. We both had to 'dance in circles' to get in and close the bathroom door. I can only imagine how difficult it would be for a large person, or someone with limited mobility. Nice staff, average breakfast bar.

Room Tip: Rooms on the west side are away from the freeway.

it's very easy - a newer, nicer Hyatt Place...my only issue with Hyatt Place is there's zero variation - but like all the others, it was modern, chic, clean, with a good gym, great bed, and a really poor breakfast - lacking healthy options - including fresh fruit. Definitely would stay when come back.

We booked via a Top Secret booking. Easy check in process. The room was very nice, modern, clean. Breakfast in the morning was good, some hot offerings. There is a bar at the front desk and the staff was friendly. The location is very convenient off the I75.

During a 10 day easter trip we stayed in 3 Hyatt places in Fort Myers, Tampa and Meadowlands NJ and this was the best one. I am not sure why people say this is (quote) "not the best Hyatt", I argue you could say the opposite. It has a nicer than average pool area, the staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was the same as in most other Hyatt's offering a variety of foods. The main thing that was missing in all Hyatts is a waffle maker, other than that it was great.

About the location:
This hotel is away from the beaches and downtown area but we knew this at booking. However, getting to downtown Fort Myers takes only 20 mins or so, the road is easy driving also. The upside of the location near the Interstate is that we got a great on this hotel with lots of room space, a great pool and all of this at a very low price.

Room Tip: We got a room overlooking the pool
