Firstly, to the one star rater who didn't even get out of the car. You should keep going to the chain restaurants! Yep, definitely a local place, with great service and good food. Kat at the bar is awesome, instantly making you feel welcomed. The best thing about RB is it is not a chain. Can't wait to go back. Cheap prices, and a lot to look at.

We always rely on TA for honest reviews. Being said, we were in the mood for a good steak, casual atmosphere and a good time. We love to try new small (non_chain) places. The reviews for Redbones all sounded like what we were looking for. Especially the Key West type atmosphere!!! So, we drove out and on the way got a very bad feeling that we were in an unsafe area. My husband drove around the back, lotsa people in the outside bar, not vacationers. Mostly a local looking place. We drove around the front to the entrance, my husband got out to check it out. After he went inside, no one was there. It looked trashy, so we decided to get out of there. I truly feel that the reviews were very misleading. Ended up trying University Grille, a chain. It was delicious.

There were 6 of us for lunch, including kids and a dog (we ate outside) and all enjoyed their food. The bartender was also our server - she made awesome (and cheap) margaritas. Only downside to the whole experience is that everything took a while...our server seemed overwhelmed with all the customers at the bar plus us and the kitchen seemed to be on the other side of this HUGE place. She was so sweet though, even brought our puppy some meat and cheese...she won my son over with that and he pushed to make sure we gave her a big tip.
Super casual on the side we ate at, but they also have a "regular" indoor seating area. BBQ chicken was awesome, roasted chicken good (little dry), steak tips were loved by the boys, ribs were very good and sides were all tasty. And everything was very reasonably priced (cheap).
Would definitely return...could be a nice dinner with my wife, whole family casual like this experience or even to go just for drinks and BS with the staff and other customers ...place seems to attract nice customers.

we found this place by accident and go their once a month simple,
simple fresh tasty well seasoned food. We always eat at casual the tiki bar chill out with a cold beer while our food is prepared. Our favorite large fried shrimp dinner, and the wood barbequed beef tips. Place normally not busy, therefore minimium staff last time we were their they had a party of 8 which resulted in delays getting our food. But we still think this hidden jewel and are surprized it has not become popular when you get better quality at a lower price than the places downtown this place is just 5 minutes from downtown.

Went on a Sunday evening. Casual to say the least, but the food and drink were great. Don't be afraid to have fun!
