“Very relaxing walk thru nature”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

This is a great place to see the natural habit of the Southwest Florida area. Very quiet walk down the boardwalk. Can choose short or long walk. Very informative volunteers to guide you thru if you choose or walk on your own. We saw many birds on our walk. Nice center with gift shop and relaxing porch or sit on in a rocking chair. Fee is parking only.

“A great place to see the natural beauty of SW Florida”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

The raised boardwalk makes it easy to navigate around the 1.2 mile loop. There are many places to stop and take in all the beauty. Even though we went on a hot day, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that there were almost no mosquitoes, because their larvae is a food source for mosquito fish, which take care of the problem naturally. It pays to walk quietly and try to hear and see the wildlife that could easily be missed otherwise. The volunteers at the interpretive center were very friendly and knowledgeable, and it was a good place to cool off after the walk. We loved it, and we will definitely be back soon.

“Natural Florida”

One of my favorite places. Great boardwalk for strolling and viewing wildlife. Go often and at different times of the day. You never know what you will see. No entrance fee but there is a small fee for parking.
