This is my favorite vacation of the year... Sometimes twice!! Location is perfect, Publix across street, Beach is steps away & always nice.... Pool area is nice & relaxing. Open a window at night & the waves sound like a dream! Stayed in many units, all different! All very inviting. My only request is that the guests that stay repeatedly & refer so many to The Seaside should be given a small discount once in a while! Just an idea....

Just returned from another wonderful vacation to Fort Myers Beach. This was our first time at the Seaside Resort, it was great. Location is perfect, I don't think you can get a resort any closer to the beach. Walking distance to condo was approx. 50 feet from the beautiful white sandy beach, the grounds of the Seaside Resort are very well maintained and the Publix grocery store was directly across the street. Office staff are friendly and accommodating. Many of the condo units are updated and very nice. Already planning a return visit for next year.

We returned for yet another year at Seaside. We always go there the week following Easter. As in past years, we were very pleased with the property. The unit we had was again in great shape with everything we needed for our stay. The outside was kept in immaculate shape again. The staff does a wonderful job every morning straightening up things that may be out of place. The pool was very clean and the location with the Publix grocery store across the road makes it even better. We have booked again for next year. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This was our family's first visit to Fort Myers Beach and stay at Seaside during Spring Break in March 2012. We read the reviews prior to making reservations and fully support the excellent ratings Seaside receives. We stayed on the top (5th) floor which has excellent views. The property is quiet which is what we were looking for and the other people staying there were very friendly. You are right on the beach and it is an excellent beach - nice and wide and great for walking with a shallow entry for swimming. We saw dolphins swimming several times from the shore. Having the Publix grocery store across the street is very convenient (although you might want to go off the island if you plan to do a lot of shopping when you first get there as they are a little pricey). We planned to stay for only 7 days then spend the last two days of our Florida vacation in Ft. Lauderdale. However, we liked Seaside so much we extended our stay those two days by moving to another unit. The front office staff was great and very helpful. There is parasailing and jet ski dolphin tours just down the beach which was very good as well. Our unit was fairly basic but nice and clean and met our needs perfectly - going to bed with the nice breeze and sound of the waves was very nice as well. If there was any downside, it was a little too quiet a time or two for our 16 year old son - a basketball hoop would have gone a long ways, however all of our kids still had an excellent time (as did the parents). One thing to keep in mind is if you are trying to get off the island and have to go through downdown (North exit), traffic can be very slow at certain times of the day. We would highly recommend Seaside and next time we are in Fort Myers we would definitely try to stay at Seaside again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 506 which was close to the elevator and little nosier (but not bad) - might try to...

This was our first stay at this complex and we loved it! The amenities were superb for the price and the proximity to the beach cannot be beat. James at the check in desk was wonderful and we just can't say enough about the location. We stayed in unit 202 and will stay there again!

Room Tip: Utilize the website to view your potential unit...a little time spent in advance will save you some...

Just spent a week at the Seaside Resort (room 504) after much internet research. The past week is when the rates were cut in half due to the seasonality (1800/wk the previous week, 900/wk last week), and that had a lot to do with my 4 stars as opposed to what would have been 3 stars at the higher price. Being right on the beach about half way down the island with a Publix across the street is a huge plus. The building has a "dated" feel as you head up the very slow elevator to a decent sized condo unit. Bathrooms are small but serviceable, and having a full size kitchen has its advantages. Plenty of beach accessories available and the pool area with barbecues are nice. Covered parking for our unit was also a plus. If you plan to walk anywhere except to Publix, you better get out your hiking shoes. The shops and eateries of Times square are well over a 2 mile walk along the beach, although it is much more peaceful here than being at the north end of the island. Got to see dolphins most every day and shelling is good all along the shore. Did have a few ants crawling around, but hey this is Florida so not too big a deal Overall, we had a nice stay and felt that this is a good value for its location along a beautiful stretch of shoreline. Again, I think if we had paid double the price, my feelings would a bit different, but for 900.00 per week for a beachfront two bedroom condo, we weren't blown away, but we were definitely satisfied.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor. Besides the better view, the less likely you are to hear people on the lounge...

We stayed there for the 7th time this year for spring break. The staff is wonderful. All units are two bedroom, and all are oceanfront. The unit owners furnish and decorate them, so some are nicer than others. The staff will help you choose if there are several available. Sure, there are minor issues, but its not the Hilton. It's nice and clean and the beach area is great. The grocery store right across the street is a huge plus! If you're looking for a nice two bedroom beachfront place to rent for a week, this is it.
