“Red Coconut is Paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2012

We stayed for a week around Easter, 2012. Lucky enough to get a front row beachfront site for our 38' rv. What a great great RV park. They guide you into your spot and help with anything you need. Office personnel were fabulous as well. I made sure to go and reserve next year. The beach is wide and white. We sat under our tent everyday, right in front of our RV. The park is dog friendly and we had our two black labs leashed under the tent with us. There is a local grocery store four blocks up that you can bike to and a Publix further down by car. We went to the dog beach five miles out and the dogs had a blast playing with the other dogs. Went to Fish House (near CVS) for a fabulous seafood. Watched the sunset every night front the beach. Great neighbors as well on both sides of us. loved seeing the ice cream man on the beach too! We are definasely coming back next year and every year to this park of paradise! Bring your bikes, because the sand is so hard near the water that you can bike on it. Loved our beach walks. Very clean beach, very clean campground, very clean little town! This park is a real jewel!

We are in our late 30's and just love it! Especially when we get to stay on rows 1 or 2. Visit at least 6-10 times a year We have a 5 yr old, 10 yr old with high functioning autism and an 18 yr old. We love the beach, fishing and doing s'mores at night. Everyone is friendly and kind. We are from Orlando and come as much as we can. Beachfront, close to home and beautiful sunsets.

We visited the Red Coconut in April 2012. My parents stayed for 2 weeks and my husband and I were there for a week. The Park was perfectly clean and well maintained. The staff was constantly driving around even at night if any issues arise. Many people are complaining about the space between motor homes, but we found that there was enough room for what you needed to do at your site. Staying on the beach is the most ideal but we were positioned just across the road, about a 1 minute walk to the water, no big deal, we needed a little walk after a day of lounging on the beach.
The beach is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. White sand for miles and miles lined with bars and condos. If you want to take a walk to the pier along the beach it is about 1.5 km’s and you can hit several bars and shops along the way. If you get to the beach early you can see dolphins swimming by for their morning commute, spectacular!
If you are interested in going to the square there is a Trolly that passes by very frequently and is only $0.50 to ride. There is also a 7/11 next door or a grocery store a short walk down the road.
I would recommend the Red Coconut to anyone travelling with a motor home, it is definitely family friendly and perfect for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation.

This park is very uniquely situated close to the heart of Fort Myers Beach. We stayed in the park side across the street from the beach in a 40' RV. Spaces are pretty tight, but the staff is very helpful and if you are unsure about getting into a spot, they make it happen and take the stress out of the job. Laundry facilities are outside in the middle of the park and very reasonable . The park is kept very clean. Recycling is encouraged and they are organized about it.
We walked across the street and spent lots of time on the beach, either sitting on the beach taking in the sun or walking along the beach.
Really beats driving to the area, traffic to get here could be brutal if you stay outside this area.
It is worth it.
I made an error as far as when I thought we were leaving by a day :(, but they were so understanding and allowed us to add an extra day. Nothing seemed to be a problem.
People generally friendly. Would come back. Next time would love to stay on the beach side on the front row.

Hands down - this place is perfect!

Seriously!

I've never seen beaches so beautiful or met people so nice!
The campground is located DIRECTLY on the beach!
We stayed on the beach side of the campground, so I couldn't say if the campground across the road (Estero Blvd.) is as good. Restrooms were fine. A bit 'sandy' – but that's what you get when you're living right on the beach. The staff was really nice and took their time to guide me when we arrived in our newly rented motorhome.

We will definitely stay there again!

Sadly we stayed for only 2 nights in a motorhome.

Everyone who goes here knows that this retro spot on the beach is a gem. And anyone who complains that the space is too small or that the showers requIre keys or whatever DON'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT THE REAL VALUE OF THIS PLACE : .........IT'S ON A PERFECT WHITE SANDY BEACH!!! The staff is very friendly and I have not met a person who is not gratefuL for being able to drive up their rv and park more or less a few feet from the beach....really a great resort....

No privacy, sites literally on top of each other, old repeat customers, very clicky, excessive drinking and smoking. Walmart on the water. Town is a big white ghetto with lousy "restaurants" and cheap t-shirt and souvenir shops. Dirty and sketchy scene. Traffic ridiculous and to get to absolutely nothing. Beach big and sandy - no shade and full of "mall walkers" left early due to rude, nosy and unfriendly "regulars". Pets allowed but Definatly not pet friendly. Unlike any camping experience I have ever had if you can even call this camping. Could not get out of there fast enough!
