I visit FMB at least twice a year and have been going here since it was opened. It just seems to get better. The food is always good. This trip I was especially impressed by the way the servers handled our large group. We had 12 persons and a baby, they served us with "grace and smiles" even at a busy time of the evening.

We were a little hesitant to try this restaurant as some of the reviews were mixed. We went around sunset on a weeknight and sat outside. The boats in the background made for good ambiance. It was crowded, but not completely packed, we did not have to wait in line. There were several tv's with the World Cup game on. However, the tv's did not detract from the view,
I sat facing away from them and watched the boats coming and going. We were also treated to a few dolphin swimming right off the deck where our table was located. I love seafood and had the Yucatan peel and eat shrimp and it was delicious, slightly spicy, buttery, cilantro sauce and a half pound was a full serving. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and fries and said it was delicious. Our waiter, although busy, did a great job of attending to our needs and we were very pleased. Took a short walk on the pier behind the restaurant after dinner. Attire is casual, we were in shorts and tshirts, there was a nice breeze so eating outside was very comfortable and the deck area was covered. Nice to eat outside around sunset, they have lights everywhere outside and it was a picturesque beachy setting. Be sure to read the history of the restaurant as it is owned by an author and was interesting. There were limited choices for non-seafood eaters: pulled pork, hamburger, chicken strips, etc, but that's true of most beach eateries. The drinks looked yummy but we didn't have any this evening. Prices ranged from sandwiches around $10-15 and larger seafood entrees around $15-25. Family friendly, we didn't have kids with us, but the kids sitting around us were excited to see the dolphin and it is a very casual atmosphere. We would definitely go back!

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat after cruising in the harbor. The boat landing was nice and spacious and the food was very good. I had a shrimp and linguini dish and it was perfecto! Got to see a fantastic light show from a storm while we ate.

We went to Doc Ford’s with a fairly large group and sat outside on the dock for dinner and drinks- it was a great time! We watched a crazy storm roll in under the cover of the upper porch which was an experience! We had a great experience will all of the staff- both at the bar and our server- very friendly and fun.

I shared the ‘mozzarella de marinello salad’ as an appetizer and had the ‘yucatan shrimp taco’- a fabulous meal all around.

I would definitely go back and would recommend stopping here for dinner while visiting Fort Myers!
