“Very Central - great location”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

The Holiday Court is just enough steps from the centre of Fort Myers not to be noisy at night. Easy to reach and each unit has its own car parking slot. The pier, shops and restaurants in the centre are all within easy walking distance. The Holiday Court is family run and they and their staff were all very friendly and helpful. It is not a conventional hotel style as it consists of several buildings and looks very attractive, as they are all painted in different colours They have 2 fishing/moorage docks on the lagoon, which was very peaceful. Several areas of the grounds and buildings are probably getting to need refurbishing but the owners are doing this step-by-step

There are quite a few different types of room available and we were in Room 19, with a lovely view facing the large lagoon. We were upstairs and had a covered, furnished outside veranda where we could sit and watch the fish jumping and the birds waiting to catch them! The living, kitchen, and dining area was well furnished, very clean and comfortable, with the necessary cooking and eating equipment all there. The bedroom was not enormous but again well furnished with good bedding. There was a bathroom with a separate wash basin just outside in the bedroom. We had ample storage space for our weeks' stay.

If you want to leave your car behind and go on a bus ride there is a trolley that goes the length of the island and onto the mainland, where you can transfer to buses t other nearby areas.

We enjoyed our stay again, is was good value for money and we would recommend it and go there again ourselves.

If you are looking for a hotel at a great value this is it. I was visiting Ft. Myers Beach 2 days before Christmas with my family that live in Ft. Myers. My wife and I decided to checkout some hotels since my family had a lot of people staying at their condo. The Hoilday Court Motel was the second place I looked at. The owner showed me the Surfside 1 bungalow and it was right across from the beach and had a patio with an awesome view. I asked what the price was he told me $115 a night plus tax. The Surfside 1 room has a full kitchen a very large king size bed and TV with 2 sofas in the living room area. The most important thing is that the room was very clean. You can walk to everything from this place. I enjoyed the view from the patio relaxing.

My husband & I stayed 1 night at the Holiday Court in December. This was great place to stay & convenient to the Key West Express. Our room was clean & had everything we needed. There was a refrigerator, stove, microwave in our studio room. Nice pool area but we spent our afternoon at Fort Myers beach watching the sunset. The beach is right across the street. Restaurants & bars all within walking distance. We had to be up early the next morning so it was convenient to have some coffee & breakfast in our room before we left. We walked to the Key West Express dock area which was about a 25-30 minute walk. Not a bad walk at all in our opinion. Overall the Holiday Court was great for our short stay.

Was here earlier in the year with my family. Came back in October with one of my girl friends for a girls weekend away. Just as great a stay as last time! Weather was perfect. Stayed in the motel area this time and room was cute. Kitchen area had been updated. Owner took us and other guests for a ride into the gulf and saw some dolphins. So convenient for us to walk to the dinner and bars at night. Went to the beach or lounged in the pool for the day. Owner was working on updating another room while we were there. They definitely are working hard.

My daughter and I stayed at Holiday Court for 4 nights. Close to Time Square, but yet quiet. The room had every amenity we wanted; full kitchen, beach towels, use of kayaks, coffee maker with coffee and cream, flat screen TV, patio with chairs for drinking coffee in the morning, generous friendly hosts, equally friendly guests, right across from the beach, warm swimming pool, walking distance to grocery store, and more. Steve and Kathy, thanks so much, we will definitely be back!

We live in Florida, and just decided we needed a couple days of R and R. Friends of ours have been raving about this place and we took them up on their suggestion. We stayed in , I think it was called "Sea View". right across from the beach and the park.. Wow!! our friends were right. It was a 2 bedroom, full kitchen, which by the way was stocked with any item a person would need, living room and full bath, We had indoor glassed in porch, plus a nice deck, to sit with our cocktails and watch the world go by. Park your car in assigned space, and leave it til checkout. The owner,/ manager, was great. Name is Steve. Seems to be visible and willing to answer questions any time. View out back was also fantastic. Kayaks to use, fishing from the dock, etc. Or as we did...just plain relax. Will bring fishing pole next time. And there will be next time. JUST GREAT COUPLE DAYS, with some great friends, doing absolutely nothing. Can't say enough.

Room Tip: all rooms seem great. If you are handicap though all tubs in bathrooms. I would love to take my m...

This was a short trip for us. We were attending a family wedding Oct.27. Our two night stay certainly enhanced by Kathy and Steve (the owners). Both were extremely helpful and accomodating. Kathy even drove us up to the wedding venue! Our room was very neat and clean! Had a short time by the pool which was wonderful. Kathy gave us excellent directions to various restaurants and attractions. Yes the motel is older but very charming. Other guests staying were also very friendly. For such a short trip we enjoyed our time here. Already planning to return next Sept. for a much longer stay! Thank you so much Kathy and Steve! Nancy & Syd
