What an awesome place to stay! They really are on the beach. The views are incredible, sunsets are the best. The staff is very attentive. We were there for a wedding and spent 5 nights in the hotel in a two bedroom villa. There was much more room in the villa than we imagined and gave the 4 of us plenty of space to spread out. Kitchen was nicely equipped--we made breakfast every morning. The beds were good and we slept very comfortably. Towels in the bathrooms were nice and thick--thicker than the other 2 hotels we said in during our trip. The villa was well equipped--iron, ironing board, in room safe, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, serving bowls, dishwasher (they provide soap) and washer & dryer (they do not provide soap)

There are plenty of lounge chairs at both the pool and the beach. The pools are big with one for smaller children and heated. Towels are provided at the bowl--again, they are nice and thick.

We ate at Bongo's poolside. The food was very good which was a pleasant surprise and pretty reasonably priced. The wedding reception was held poolside and at Jack's. Again, the food was good.

When you check in, they give you wrist bands with a computer chip assigned to your room in it. It acts as your key and you are also able to bill hotel food, beverage, etc. with it. What a great invention. You don't lose the wrist bands and they are waterproof. Perfect!

Overall, our experience was great. We have never stayed here before but would not hesitate to go back on our next trip to Ft. Myers Beach. Give them a try. You won't regret it.

Room Tip: All rooms have a Gulf view. The 2 bedroom villas are in the main building and are huge.

This is a the second time my wife and I have visited Pink Shell in January.
It didn't disappoint.
We had a one room suite which gave us plenty of space with a fantastic view of the beach. The suite was very well maintained throughout.
All of the staff were extremely focused on ensuring everything was perfect. The daily breakfast buffet was superbly maintained by the staff and the Egg Chef deserves a special mention as he always had time for a word with every guest regardless of age.
I think this has to be the perfect vacation resort and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: The suites provide extra space and great facilities.

This was our 2 nd trip back to the pink shell ... We stayed for 7 nights in a beautiful 2 bd room 2 bath white sands villa, located in the main building. We were on the 7th floor and the views are absolutely breathtaking.. With floor to ceiling windows. The room was extremely clean, and I am picky, comfy beds, pillows and an awesome huge bath perfect for bathing twins! The balcony isn't huge but served its purpose comfy rocking chair and a lounge chair. The sunsets at this resort are incredible. The beach is soft white sand with plenty of shells for collecting. The water looks a bit brown but we learned thats only from some kind of leaves that fall in and stain the water kind of like iced tea... The breakfast buffet is amazing .. Lots to chose from and hats off to the omelet chef!!!! He does an amazing job !!! I miss breakfast already .. The weather was so so we had cooler than normal temps. but the pool was heated to a nice warm temp. So the kids still were able to enjoy swimming. The staff was friendly and respectful all except for the hostess at the breakfast buffet .. Someone should really do something about her attitude.. This is how most guests start their day and really an attitude adjustment is in order.. I choose not to name her but the managers should really look into this ... As well hubby and I went to the bar one night and were greeted with the look of " oh no these people want a drink. We want to go home. Not acceptable! But we managed .. I will say that while at the pool all week not one person came around to see if we needed anything, a drink or food which they do serve.. It was not until our last day that there was someone working the pool area.. When I inquired where had they been all week I was told it was to cold so staff was cut . Really ? It was not that cold the pool was full of families and that wasn't a good reason to me... So note to manager have someone attend to the guests at the pool all the time.. You will make much more money if someone actually asks you if you would like a drink or food ! A huge shout out to miss Meredith the Public Relations girl who does an excellent job working with social media! It was so much fun to meet her after communicating over the Internet ! And let me not forget the whole crew that came out to check on the bee situation.. My hubby was not happy with all the bees at the pool mind you this only happened once and when he inquired they sent a whole team to look into it right away ! The bees flew off and all was ok . But I was impressed at the concern they had for the guests being bothered by the bees. Ok so overall this is an amazing place to go with families. Very kid friendly great food at jacks and breakfast.. Break-taking views an amazing beach and super clean... We will def. be back .... We miss u pink shell hope to see you soon !

With all the reviews and everyone having something negative to say about every hotel out there, this resort is by far the best ever!! I had never been to Ft. Myers. Its less than 30 mins from the airport and the rooms are really nice... the enclosed screened in balcony faces the gulf of Mexico and omg tons of palm trees... there are a number of pools. Breakfast buffet is included every day free of charge... prices are reasonable for food for lunch... the main pool is beautiful and they show a movie there one night as well. You can walk right out the pool gates onto the sandy beach... Its tranquil, serene and when I went in Dec it was 85 degrees, a far cry from the constant snow of NY... Anyway, staff is super friendly, no attitudes... best place ever... will go back with kids this time...

Room Tip: Any room in any building is great... I stayed in the Sanibel View building and thought I'd be fa...

My wife and I weren't guests at Pink Shell Resort - we found it by chance. The facility was immaculate and we had dealings mostly with their restaurants - Bongo's and Jacks. What a great alternative to the fried food shacks that are everywhere on the island. Food was a pleasure and staff was very professional and very accommodating. Special mention for Mark (from Staten Island), Chad (from South Dakota) and Love (there is only one Love - wherever she's from). Had the pleasure of meeting Chef James as well. Great guy. Sorry the resort couldn't get their dinner hours straight (understood - the weather didn't help). Thoroughly enjoyed Bongo's lunches. We would have loved to try their dinners too. Keep up your good work. Thanks.

Room Tip: Can't comment on rooms since we didn't stay there. Definitely hope to do so in future.

We had a great time at the resort. Very clean room with a great veiw of the gulf. We were surprised at how large the room was with a separate bedroom and a hot tub on the patio. We will come back for sure. Mike

The Pink Shell Resort was all that we expected - well kept rooms, lovely beach and pool area, great breakfast that was included in the price of the room, and very friendly staff. The turtles at the Bowditch Nature Preserve beside the hotel were fun to watch as were the dolphins that came to the beach each morning to feed after high tide.
