Friends recommended Importico's and the cafe was even more than one could imagine. The neopolians and sconces were unbelieveably delicious. We had them with hazelnut coffee.
We also went back another day and got one of their French bagette breads. We also had a pannini lunch sanwich and ate outside. We also purchased an oatmeal raisin cookie and a sticky bun at their tent at the Ft. Pierce Farmers Market. Alot of calories, but a great treat.

We decided to go to the farmers market in Fort Pierce and bought some bread at the bakery stand there. The bread looked great and as we found out later tasted great as well. When we finished at the market we looked for somewhere close by for breakfast. We saw the Importico's Bakery Cafe and decided to go there for a coffee and something to eat. It was busy and we ordered coffee and 2 different kind of quiche for breakfast. you order and pay at the counter and they will bring anything that needs to be heated to your table. We really enjoyed the food. Fresh and a generous serving. The coffee.is self serve and tasted great as well. We will most likely be back there when we go to the market again.

The best cafe for pastries that Fort Pierce has to offer! Every one of the home baked delectables are perfect to look at and to eat. The cream fruit pie located on the top middle display cabinet is fantastic loaded with fresh fruit. Pastries are light with the perfect blend of ingredients. The organic coffee is tops but the hot chocolate is week and needs a lot of help. Service is good and the owner, Carol, oversees all and is hands on. Very busy Saturday mornings as the farmers market is in high gear then, but no long waits at all to satisfy your sweet tooth. Almost forgot...the breads are fabulous. Try the olive loaf. You will have difficulty deciding which to buy. Their booth at the farmers market sells out. So good!

This has now high on my list for lunch, for dessert, or for coffee with a cinnamon roll. Located near the water, it's a great place to pick up goodies to sit on the retaining wall too.

Only wish they were open on Sundays too.
