As a teaching zoo, this is less "frilly" than typical zoos, which suits me - and it would appear, the animals - just fine. There is a wide variety of exhibits in a very peaceful setting. I could see myself bringing a book and just hanging out around various exhibits to spend a full day.

Neatly arranged walking zoo with a surprising variety of species in an old Florida hammock setting. Good signage and information.

I loved this place even more being part of the Santa Fe college! That’s a major plus everyone here is every friendly and animals are very active. Lots of students around checking on the animals too enjoy that a lot.

This is a fun zoo trip, especially for kids. We usually bring a picnic lunch - there are tables outside the entrance. This little zoo has continued to improve through the years, great for kids! They also have a special trick or treat for Halloween that is a lot of fun to attend.
