We were strolling through the Historic Gainesville District and decided at the last minute to have dinner at Amelia's. While we did not have a reservation and the restaurant was obviously busy, the staff made us feel most welcome and seated us immediately. The atmosphere was wonderfully Italian, and our server, Emily, was most knowledgeable of the menu and made terrific suggestions. Each order was prepared individually and tasted homemade. If it is your birthday, the owner will come to your table and play Happy Birthday on the saxophone. He is a very accomplished musician. Amelia's is a great restaurant which we will visit again.

The chicken in a lemon sauce with capers was amazing. It was my moms birthday and the chef came out and played happy birthday with a saxophone.. Coolest birthday dinner ever. The chef Andy was so nice and walked around and spoke to everyone. Everything I ate there was great. Highly recommended!

We recently dined here during a very busy, college game day weekend. The food and service were both great. We were seated in the back room, which I felt was lacking in ambiance, however, the menu, quality, price and service, more than made up for it.

Our party dined on chicken, veal, mussels, cannelloni and various appetizers and deserts.

The chicken and veal were out of this world!

We finished with the tiramisu. Not to be missed. Truly exceptional!!

Wonderful food & great service. Good location. Quiet, unlike so many of the restaurants in Gainesville.
