“A True taste of the South”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

I'll start off with the negatives and this is mainly aimed at most US restaurants. I'm a big guy who likes his food and I was hungry, but I was utterly defeated by my entree of Jumbalaya. Seriously, less is more. Other than that niggle, Harry's was everything you want a family restaurant to be. God for with excellent service.

“Nice location downtown great food”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

We had supper Jul 27which was a Sunday evening. The four of us were seated right away in a booth by a window. The waiter was very good and attentive. We had drinks which were well made. I had an appetizer of calamari which was fried perfectly and the dipping sauce was good. For my main I had bourbon glazed salmon which was broiled just right. The other people i our party all had different mains and their meals were very good also.

“Good food, so-so service”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

Ate here on a Friday evening and took a patio table. Took waitress a while to get to us. After food arrived, we needed ketchup for my wife's fries. Waited and finally went inside to tell the hostess. Only saw waitress once more before we were done. Shrimp scampi was very good, wife's burger was big and cooked correctly. Prices a bit steep. Chardonnay was a full glass.

“Great New Orleans Food”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Visited Harry's Sat. afternoon and were so happy w/food and service. Shared the Mussels St. Charles - outstanding. The spicy sauce was excellent and we sopped up every morsel with our bread. Our server, Brandi, was efficient, very informative and after raving about this sauce she told us we could order the St. Charles sauce w/pasta next time. And - there will be a next time soon. We also had the Jambalya, one w/pasta ears, the other w/rice. Both were awesome and quite large servings. Took quite a bit home for next day and it was still delicious. Telling everyone we know about this place. Don't let the "spicy" reviews scare you away - there are many choices.

“While fancy, could use a hug on their food selections...”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Perhaps b/c we are southern, and unequipped to deal with anything spicy but we ordered fried green tomatoes and they were soo spicy that no one at our table could eat them. I know this is a New Orleans cuisine restaurant but we did inform our waitress that none of us could tolerate any spice and to have them put any sauce on the side (which wasn't done) we had to send back the fried green tomatoes. Our server was very nice though, it was her first day and she was definitely doing the best she could. The food was just way too spicy. It was foodie picture worthy though, just the taste wasn't the greatest, sorry my honest opinion!
