Baymont has obviously been very recently remodeled. The mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in our room looked brand new. The linens were very nice for the price (I appreciated the lack of a full comforter since they aren't usually washed nightly at hotels) and I was pleased to find a hair dryer and iron in the room. The carpet was super soft and clean.
Beyond the hotel's appearance, the two young men working check in were very friendly and helpful. They got us the keys to our room quickly and were very organized. When we called to complain about noise from other guests, they handled the issue promptly.
We stayed in a room on the third floor and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms had an interior hallway (as opposed to the doors that open to the outdoors on the first and second floors). Our room overlooked the pool, which was also clean and well maintained.
In the morning, breakfast had many options (including hot ones) and the area was well-stocked and clean.
Overall, this hotel was a great value and a comfortable stay. My dad and I were very surprised at the amenities we received for the price we paid. If you're looking for a place to stay in Gainsville, I would definitely recommend Baymont Inn and Suites.

we have stayed at this location over the last 5 years on and off. We discovered this trip the name on the building chanced....no big deal to us. However, we arrived late on a Friday evening on a cold night - turning on the heater triggered the smoke alarm for a few beps. Tired we went right to bed - the soke alarm continued to cheerp all night at irregular intervals. My wife is a sound sleeper and I take sleeping pills to get to sleep or this would have been more of a bother. However, my wife woke up early morning and could not go back to sleep, were I had trouble falling to sleep with the noise. replacing batteries on a regular basis could have prevented this problem.

Thank you for letting us know that the Heaters cause the smoke alarms to activate if they have not been turned on in a while. I am thankful the alarms work but I fully understand the consternation of it chirping while one is trying to sleep. We are working with our maintenance department and our Fire Alarm Company to figure out the best way to address this issue and know we will have it addressed before you visit us next time.

Hotel was easy access to I75 - the noise from I75 could be heard since we were on that side, walked our dog and on the back side it was quiet. Since we traveled with our dog it was nice to have a clean hotel with a great breakfast we could stay at for this X-mas trip to visit family.
This is not a 5 star hotel - it is a good 3 star hotel with the price matching and allows pets. I have not found many 4 or 5 star that allows pets. Will stay again when traveling through the area.

Thank you for your comments about our Hotel and acknowledging our allowing pets. Not a lot of Hotels do any more. Additionally since your last visit we have added pet rooms on the quieter side of the Hotel. When next you visit, ask for one of those rooms, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the upgrades.
