“Beautiful in the Fall!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2010

I traveled to Gainesville, FL in early September 2010. The weather was perfect! An excellent time to visit. It was still warm enough to hang out by the pool, but not so hot and humid that was uncomfortable to be outside.
The Botanical Gardens in Gainesville and amazing! Being from Colorado, I got to see a lot of vegetation and fauna that is unfamiliar to me. Also, I highly recommend the Butterfly Exhibit at the Unviersity. Especially with kids -- they loved it!

“Life in Gainesville”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 October 2010

Life is Gainesville is both relaxing and crazy depending on the time of year!
Right now we are in the HEART of Gator Football season and every weekend you can expect to find lots of people, traffic, tailgating and good times.

Gainesville is a great place to visit or live. There is every walk of life here. From students, to families and singles alike.

I love living here and I can't wait to raise my family in a town that has a whole lot of heart!

“Small peaceful town”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 October 2010

The home of Gators. There is a few places in this university town. Florida Museum of Natural History, Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art, Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, Bat House and Butterfly Rainforest are the places to see. There is also a small lake (Lake Alice) inside the campus. You can see turtles, fish and even alligators in that lake. Just on the south of the town, you'll find a part of Paynes Prairie and Lake Wauburg offering you opportunities to be with nature.

Gainesville, Fl is a fun college town. Great hiking/biking etc at Paines Prairie, Devi's Millhopper, etc. Good food...my favorite Dragonfly Sushi and Saki Co.
