Description: Angelo Rizzolo and his family have been making fantastic Italian food in Citrus Hill and Inverness for many years. Over the years we have built a great relationship and have made many friends. What makes Angelo's different is our New York style passion for creating consistently delicious classics and inventing new ways to enjoy the flavors of Italy. Our business is about great food and even better service. So if we've done something that was wonderful, please tell a friend. But if we've done anything that was less than fantastic, please tell us so we can make it right and improve. And I give you my personal guarantee that if the food and service are not excellent, I will do everything in my power to make it right. Thanks for stopping in today. We hope to serve you again and again!

We both took out early bird specials and were very pleased with generous orders of tillapia and chicken parm. Included salads, side orders of pasta, and generous portions of carrot cake at a great price!

went with another couple who had been there before, red sauce was burned and my husbands pizza was nothing to write home about too many other places in this little town for good Italian food, Pizza Café and Carmine in Ocala

Enid: We're very sorry for your experience, which is actually very uncommon. With regard to our red sauce, we actually cook it to order so it doesn't scaled, so if you can stop back in and speak with Angelo, he would love to show you our process and get you a replacement for your meal.

We went in for a late lunch, there were only 2 other tables of people in the restaurant. We had sandwiches, chicken salad and a club, both very tasty as were the fries. The iced tea was so weak it was helpless. The service was ridiculous! The sign said seat yourself, the man behind the counter greeted us, we sat down and waited and waited... the waitress was not friendly, the service got worse as time went on, all we asked for were some more lemons for the tea and a take out box. Had to ask repeatedly for the lemons - it took 10 minutes. Really... that is so uncalled for. We've had their take out pizza and garlic knots - very good, this was the 1st time we have eaten in, it might be our last.

Terrible atmosphere ok service and food tastes frozen perhaps the inexpensive cheese they use. The restaurant is aways full which makes me wonder if the patrons have ever had good Italian food.
This restaurant would not survive in Boston New York or Chicago.
We have gone back 3 times now....I will say the Eggplant parm was pretty good.
if I could make a recommendation the owners need to try a little harder they have a captive audience since they are the only game in town. The interior is cold and it's not the AC, very loud and needs to be updated.

Dear Ann - we're sorry you had a less than desirable experience. You mentioned the cheese in your note, and in fact, we use one of the most expensive mozzarella cheeses available. We'll pass on your note to the manufacturer, I'm sure they will be interested in your comments. As for the New York comment, we're actually from New York, and that's where we got our start. We moved to this area to be closer to our family. We have worked very hard to decrease the noise, even with placing sound deadening tiles on the ceiling, but you're right, when we're busy it can get a little loud. We sure hope you'll give us another try, and please ask for Angelo on your next visit so he can listen to your concerns first hand!

We frequently go to Angelo's when we want a good pizza. Their meat and veggie pizza is excellent with fresh tomatoes and basil leaves.
