Stayed just for one night in order to check out the local antique shoppes. Hotel was a older hotel remodeled. For the price ($40.00) you couldn't have asked for more. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and check in couldn't have been easier . No complaints, great value for the $$

There were not many hotel options in High Springs, and we were staying for a full week. I read the other reviews here and decided to give the hotel a shot. Our first room had a very obvious (to the trained eye anyway) infestation of Bedbugs. I took a sample to the manager who claimed no one had ever complained, and he moved us to a different room. So far, I have no problems with that. The new room (one of the $55/night ones) seemed great on first glance... more than twice as large as the $40/night room, a muuuuch bigger bathroom, and a real sink next to the microwave. No apparent bedbugs either! Then we opened a cabinet door and saw a good amount of mouse poop. We don't know if it is a case of the cleaning staff never detailing, or a current problem. We decided to live with it, as there weren't any options within 10 miles. On the last night a decent sized German cockroach decided to camp out in the middle of the TV screen. Overall, with a little more cleaning and some more effective pest control, it would be a great hotel. Until then, it kind of scary.

I was very happy with this hotel. I"m giving it 5-stars because of the great value, cleanliness & friendliness of the owners.

This hotel was an old-Florida type hotel, like a mom-and-pop hotel from the 50's. The furniture is mismatched but that doesn't matter. They have wireless internet cababilities so you can use a laptop in your room if you bring it. When we were there, it seems a lot of divers stay there. There are picnic tables outside. There are copies of restauraunt menus in the reception area.

My wife and I spent one night at High Springs Country Inn
while passing thru on vacation to the Florida Keys. We are
divers and spent a portion of the day diving in Ginnie Springs.
When our dive was completed we drove to the Inn which was
only about 3-5 miles away. The hotel receptionist was very
pleasant and helpful. We found the room to be simple but
clean and our overall experience was very positive with nothing
negative to report back to my fellow travelers. Considering
the cost, it's hard to beat a deal like this.

Great little motel. Recommended to us by a canoe outfitters, the hotel is just a few miles away from the Santa Fe River, Ginnie Springs, and the Ichetucknee River. The proprietor is extremely friendly, the rates very cheap, and the facilities appear to be newly renovated. Definitely a great place for easy, comfortable access to a beautiful part of Florida.
