Love the atmosphere. I could get my weird omelet fix with either real fresh fruit or good potatoes and of course grits! Friendly service.

Harry's is a traditional hangout for old Florida regulars. It's best for breakfast, good for lunch, for dinner a little less. The atmosphere is beyond easy descriepition as plastered over its walls are all kinds of goofy joke sayings. the place is old as the hills, has an inside AC area for when it;s extrremely hot , but a roof over semi-outside area that's more spacious and comfortable, really old Florida (the place dates from WW2 era and it has a relatively new installed bar. Service is usually terrific; the kind of place where the waitresses might be nealry as long time as the regulars, know many by name-and your coffee cup never gets anywhere near empty. the food isn;t spectacular but dependable-great omelets, corn beef hash (the very best! Lunches offer good salads and sandwiches-especially good dolphin or Swordfish etc.Prices are moderate; the place is an institution, cited right on the corner of US1 and Bridge Road, right across from St, Christophers Church, where predominately older New England Irish crowd swarms on the place after Sunday masses.Harry is a real person, son of the original owners and his over 95+yr. old Mother often still spryly welcomes people and tends the cash register. Harry is also a local community supporter, often hosting political campaigns, even Tea Party rallies, charity fundraisers, etc Living close to harry's we always take out of town visitors who invariably love the old Florida fun atmosphere, the jokes on the wall and down home food. .

This was my first time to Harry and the Natives. Ive passed by it a hundred times, but never stopped in and always wanted to because it really looked like an interesting place front the road. Well if you think it looks fun from the outside, it's even better in the inside. Service was ok, our waitress was a little short with us, but it was the morning rush. I ordered eggs, grits and corned beef hash. Everything was great except the hash and that's only because I personally prefer the canned style better. I can't wait to go back though and check out the place in the evening, I feel it would offer a good time!

It was fun sitting in the outdoor area and listening to the band. We really enjoyed the band. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all and neither was the service. I still might go again because I like the atmosphere, just wish the food was better.

This is our 2nd visit to Harry & The Natives and it was equally as good this time. For starters, they advertise their restaurant on their web site as, "Hobe Sound's only waterfront restaurant... when it rains". http://harryandthenatives.com/ No Harry's isn't on the water but it rains a lot here. LOL, there are great plaques throughout, some very funny. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor under a tent, seating, usually with live entertainment which is just enjoyable. They have BigAss (brand name) fans that keep you real cool. Food is just fine. I enjoyed some Jalapeno Poppers and a spinach salad, both were very good. My husband had the fish special, Cobia. He chose the butter basil sauce but thought it was a bit indulgent, but delicious. There were 3-4 other choices. The price is reasonable. The service is great and what a way to kick off the weekend. For the off season, they had a very nice crowd (and waterfront dining!, yes, it rained). Good food at a reasonable price with entertainment, you can't beat it!
