Anclote River Park has a great little beach and picnic area. Also nice watching boats going in and out the river to the bay area. Great Exercise walking and swimming in the water with and against the tides coming in and going out.

“Unfussy, easy and fun”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

This is a hop in the car and easy beach trip or just going to the playground with young children, or even hanging out with a few friends during the week when not a lot of people are there. If you have a boat, you're easy in and out here. The beach is small and contained, and not far from the pavilions~ makes it easy to get in and out of the water and the sun for small kids. Bonus , lots of porpoise activity, and boat watching. Very family friendly~ :)

“Still very popular”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

We live a few hundred yards away so it is an easy walk and we don't have to pay for parking. The beach is nice with a safe swim area and the Anclote River is now no wake in front of the beach so the big boat waves are less annoying. The boat ramps are popular although tricky when the nearby power plant is succking water past them. Usually there is a local hot dog wagon with soft drinks and the rest rooms are ok for changing.

,a picnic at a table by the water, a dip in the clear water, enjoying a group of playing dolphins, gazing at the sunset made it romantic and a perfect evening
