“Great Walking”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

If you like walking than the Broadwalk is for you. I believe it is 2 and a half miles long. One side of it is for the bike riders. Plus you have all the eateries there for you. I did really enjoy the walking. The joggers can be a little annoying after awhile though! Don't get me wrong, I like fitness. Anyway, it is very nice. And of course the beach is right along side.

“Dissapointed”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

After reading about the Broadwalk , it sounded great, we caught the water taxi from Fort Lauderdale.
Ok it was a cloudy day, the beach was nearly empty, all you could hear was the drilling and banging of the builders clearing a site, the side streets looked dirty, litter blew between the old motels set behind the cafes and shops that face the beach and broadwalk.
Beach shops so over priced and some places not even open, we went into one shop to be confronted with a rat eating a live bird on a pile of body boards.
We got the next boat out......

Reviewed 2 September 2013

The restaurants are endless you have Cuban, Italian, Mexican, Greek, plenty of sandwich places, pizzerias, icecream shops, coffee stops, frozen yogurt and the list goes on. Plenty of souvenir shops, and grocery marts and a liquor store. If ou need it they have it. FYI... if you looking to have fun, a great place to eat with a lively atmosphere and live salsa band is "Mamacitas" you"ll have a great time.

“People watching”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

Great for walking and people watching, lot of eateries, little shops and very quaint motels near, very clean and the parking fee around this attraction is affordable. You can bring your bikes/skates or rent one, there are public restrooms and kid's parks. Would come back!!

“Great Walking, Bike Paths, lots of food choices”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

Hollywood broadwalk is great for walking and riding bikes. It's 3 miles long and both walkers and bikers share the broadwalk. There is a special lane for the bikes which is clearly marked. You have to keep an eye out for pedestrians who often stray in the bike lane while walking. If you are a native to Hollywood or the surrounding area and cities, the best times to go are early in the morning or dusk and after. During the midday sun in the summer you will bake like a clam, lobster or whatever, unless you like that sort of heat and humidity. When its tourist season, Oct to April, the weather is comfortable to walk or bike. However, all the tourists are here because of the wonderful, refreshing weather. You have your choice to walk on the sand too.

This place is great for everyone!

The broadwalk itself is clean with cute benches and brick paved circular spots to relax and people watch. There are plenty of restaurants to sample too. There is a taste for everyone. Soon, there will be a big construction project underway. A new resort, Margaritaville, is expected to open in 2015. Its close to 850,000 sq ft, 349 rooms, 7 restaurants, retail space and a pool.

So, there will be plenty to do in the future!
