When we arrived at the Hotel we were a little skeptical, but the owner (Mark) was amazing he gave us a free beer while he checked us in, we went to our room, nothing fancy or new, but it was clean. We had the small pool all to ourselves. The neighborhood was very quiet at night, perfect spot for a vacation. We did have to request additional towels and toilet paper as they were not restocked daily. The Hotel is very close to the beach, about 1 city block away. We enjoyed walking the boardwalk and eating at the local resturants. We got an amazing deal on the place and couldn't ask for anything more.

The room was did not look like what's on line. The pictures you find on there website must be from when they first opened the hotel. The front desk Manager was rude. The place smelled musty. Outside the room there were rags on the floor and the duster just laying there. Did not look sanitary. My friends and I did not even stay, we ended up going somewhere else that was AMAZING!!!
by the way there was a family of 4 that also left this place because they found it disgusting after finding mariguana in there room and they were traveling w/there kids.

Room was clean. May have felt cheated if I had not booked via hotels.com as the prices they quoted was ridiculous for what you were getting. Hotel attendant from NY was very pleasant. Others questionable. Parking is extra. We parked and walked to boardwalk/beach for dinner and nightlife. Would have liked bigger mirror in room so you can see yourself after day in beach etc lol. Would do again at same price not more.

Room Tip: No fitness center. Studio cozy. Try to get room to front of street not back.

Wow, what can you say good about this place? The gentleman who checked us in was very professional. The room was very poorly maintained, the bathroom was absolutely filthy. We had pre paid, and didn't see a chance of getting a refund, so it was off to Publix for bleach and Lysol.
There was a neon light right out side our room window that burned with the intensity of a thousand suns. When I went to see about getting the light turned off, there was a gentlemen sitting outside the room next to the office , loudly arranging a delivery from what I can only assume was his personal unlicensed pharmacist. His lady friend in the doorway might have been early for Halloween, but I can assume her street sex therapist costume was going to win the contest. It's that kinda joint.

We booked this hotel through hotels.com because we stayed there a few years ago and really enjoyed the experience. For the holiday weekend we booked five nights as we were running the Ft Lauderdale marathon and wanted to stay a few more days. NYC had a blizzard and our flight was cancelled and no flight was available until Tuesday, one day before we were scheduled to come back. Although hotels.com was very accommodating, they informed us that the hotel wanted two nights fee for canceling. Considering the conditions, we felt this to be overly punitive. Next time, it looks like we'll have to consider another place.

Arrived to stay at The Seagull but manager suggested The Seaside across street since there were people who stayed up late and partied.

Stayed in an efficiency with a AC that never cooled things down, just circulated air.

Room was ok, need to ask for clean sheets and replace garbage but only a 1 minute walk to boardwalk which is the reason I chose this location anyway.
Housekeeping and maintenance kept busy doing constant chores.

May stay here again, but most likely find another Place around here.

We were greeted by inexperienced desk person 1 who charged us for parking but then informed us he could not guarantee that we could park again on the hotel property. Why did we pay for parking then? The room had "issues". The key we were given didn't work. The bathroom door didn't have screws in a hinge so it didn't shut unless you really slammed it. The shower was mounted so low that you had to bend over to get a shower. The pilot light was not on in the stove. We wanted to cook. We had to corner inexperienced guy 1 and finally got him to light it. Next day we tried to use oven. Inexperienced desk person 2 said he had to send the maintenance man to light it... courteous, but it never happened. Needed to corner guy no. 1 to get towels. Danger tape draped over pool... and the rest of grounds and outside had potential but were just not maintained. The windows had paint on them. At one point, we were given keys to other rooms to get dishes and realized we had gotten the worst room. Just a mess-- one gets the feeling the staff is always on the edge of crisis! On the good side... you walk 1/2 block down the street and you're at a nice beach with lots of activity on the boardwalk. Undoubtedly the (only) benefit of picking this property.
