We have been going to Jack's a few times a month for over 12 years now. Jack's serves food that tastes home-cooked and we find the atmosphere, although not fancy, relaxing. It's a place just a little over a mile from home and we go there when we do not feel like dressing up. They make the best spinach pie and lamb on the bone, and my husband loves their cucumber salad. They do not have much of a dessert menu, but their rice pudding piled high with whipped cream is so good. If I had a criticism, it would be their vegetables. Most of them are from a can and come to the table way overcooked like they have been sitting there all day in the pot. Their prices are a little expensive for what you get as far as the neighborhood, ambiance and some of the dishes offered, but we are still loyal Jack's customers. The owners and waitstaff are such nice people and they always make us feel welcome and comfortable. (They also serve nice breakfasts.)
