First arriving , we almost left to find another place, but decided to stay. The old original decor is interesting, but the buck stops there! The room smelled, you cannot control your own AC. You have to ask for cleaning service. No one really tells you anything. I had to ask if there was any kind of continental breakfast, they check your room number first. We were given tickets and told to walk around the corner, and when we did all we saw was a lady with a cart with coffee and sweets, and another place with sandwiches. So back in line we go to ask exactly where it is, and it turns out to be cart lady. So back we go to pick out our two free items. There was another continental upstairs, but nobody seemed to know who it was for. The employees really act like its a bother to talk! The wifi goes in and out, and again I had to call front desk for password. Anything you need to know is like pulling teeth! No onsite parking, but the garage next door is 15 a day. This is truly a no frills place! The location is excellent. The pool is very nice, but again you have to waitnin long lines at front desk to check out a towel. We made the best of our stay since we didnt spend much time in room, but for the $ , I think I would check into other places.

Stayed at the hotel for a week Feb, 8- 15. Always a broken elevator. Took the stair which smelled like urine, throw up and had a dirty sock which was never cleaned up the whole time we stayed there. We complained to the front desk many times. Back stairway door was always unlocked. The front desk was rude, never smiling always in a hurry, one guy even said, "Yea what do you want", like I was bothering him. The rooms are small, but clean. The location of the hotel was good. Pool was small, crowed, smokers, and not enough chairs for people. The heater was broken in the pool. I will not stay here again. A lot of nice places to eat on the boardwalk. Beach was nice, except for the blue jelly fish which were everywhere the latter part of the week.

We only stayed here 1 night because our cruise was leaving the next day. Arrived at the airport and phoned this hotel for a shuttle. The front desk could not find my reservation but I insisted as I had the paperwork that confirmed my reservation in my hands. The front desk then took my cell phone number which they said they would pass along to the shuttle driver who would then call me. He finally did call and he did show up to pick me up. Once we arrived to the front desk it still looked like I didn't have a reservation. Took some time but finally they found it in their computer. She then gave me our breakfast vouchers. I was surprised to only receive 2 vouchers as the reservation was for 3 people for which we had to pay extra for the third person. I asked
the front desk lady nicely if we could have a 3rd voucher for our 3rd person but she refused and said "Sorry, only 2 per room". Kind of cheap if you ask me. Especially since afterwards, we found out that the breakfast was pretty terrible, stale bagels, cereal etc. We had other family that had stayed there for 3 days and said after the first day, they stopped going for the free breakfast anyways as they could not eat it. After this, I mentioned that we needed to book the hotel shuttle to take us to the cruise ship terminal the next day. The driver then became extremely flustered and said "NOW??? I'm way too busy and I have all these other people to go pick up from the airport! You'd better be here at 9 a.m. sharp tomorrow to do this!" He was literally yelling at my sister and I for this at the front desk in front of the front desk staff and other people in line to check in. I was appalled that they would be angry over something so small and make such a big deal out of it in front of customers! Plus I was completely shocked that he would demand that I would be there at a certain time. What happened to politely suggesting?? So I suggested that if he was too busy, perhaps the other front desk staff could help me make the reservation. The young blond lady helping me looked at me with a completely shocked face and said "NO! I don't know how to do that. You'll have to wait until tomorrow". Pretty incompetent and untrained staff with terrible customer service skills if you ask me. We were relieved to finish up and get OUT of that lobby. Just very bad energy all around.
Once we got to our floor we got out of the elevator to see a sign posted that said pest control would be coming in 2 days. We were extremely creeped out as we wondered what type of pest they were trying to get rid of on our floor and one other floor of the building. Why would they put guests on a floor that required pest control??? When one of our other family members complained to the front desk about this (she also brought a few of the bugs from her room to show the front desk), they said there was nothing they could do about this and that we had to go through our travel agent. Once we got to our room to settle in: at first glance the room was pretty out dated looking but it was OK. However, once we got to the bathroom, it was not very welcoming at all. Dirt in the corners, the colors of the bathtub/shower looked like someone had smeared blood all over the walls. It was awful and the bottom of the bathtub was dirty. My mother in law said there was poop left in the toilet when she first went into her bathroom. So gross. Her room was 10 times worse than ours in terms of appearance. Dark, dank, and dirty looking. We payed $174 for our room for that night and I've stayed at better places that cost $50 a night. My advice? AVOID AVOID AVOID! Our travel agent suggested this place as it was recommended to her by a third party. Unfortunately she had not researched this place herself and neither did we. Lesson learned. ALWAYS do your research!

Room tip: Better tip would be to choose a different hotel

The best thing about the hotel is its location on the beach. Other than that, it is in disrepair, outdated, dirty, and horribly overpriced. The room had dirty bed linens, holes in the sun-faded curtains, yellowed appliances, cracked tiles and tub surrounds, and a shower that cycled between warm and scalding water. The $10 resort fee provides you with old, ratty, rough towels and internet service that does not stay connected. When it is connected, the service speed is slow. We even tried the internet on three devices with the same poor results. It took over 30 minutes to valet park because there was only one valet on duty. If I was in the area again, I would stay anywhere else.

I have stayed here on several occasions hoping to get a room that was updated. I guess ALL rooms are wore out looking. They smell of dog piss. The furniture looks like it came from a garage sale. I asked the clerk specifically to give me a nicer room. She said she did! I guess this is all they had.
