Absolutely perfect location if you are taking a cruise & need a hotel before or after the cruise. This place is minutes from airport and minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale cruise port. If you are looking for a 5 star palace, you'll be unhappy. This place is clean, convenient. Most importantly, there is a shopping center and strip mall(s) w/in walking distance. So, if you need McDonalds, clothing, toiletries, anything>>>> you can easily walk from hotel w/o a fuss.

We stayed in a 2 bed room the night before our cruise. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the airport & cruise terminal & also its reasonable price. The complimentary van picked us up promptly at the airport. Check-in was smooth. Our room was awful. It was very small, all the furnishings, bedding, carpet, bathroom fixtures were old & not particularly clean. The furniture was made to house a microwave & refrig. Since these items were not present there were gaping holes where they should have been housed. There is a "grill" on location that offers hamburgers, etc. Don't eat there! There is no grill! The food is just warmed in a microwave. There is also a bar in the pool area. The complimentary breakfast was OK. A good selection including coffee, juice, pastry, waffle maker, cereal, scrambled eggs, warm ham, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. The pool area was nice for relaxing with a cocktail and for eating breakfast. The complimentary transportation to the cruise terminal was on time and organized.

Friendly, comfortable and most convenient – that was my experience at the Comfort Inn, Airport/Cruise Port South. From the moment the shuttle met me promptly at the airport to check-in and check-out, all the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was attractive, clean and comfortable with great amenities. The pool area is pretty and the breakfast is great, again with attentive staff on hand. Returning late one night, I was able to get a drink at the pool bar – an added plus – in a pleasant environment. It's a warm, welcoming hotel, and I would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at this hotel the night before our cruise. I have never stayed in a hotel that was this filthy! when we walked into the room and it had a horrible order. Then I walked into the area where the sink was, my shoes stuck to the floor. I wet a hand towel and wiped the floor, the towel was so dirty, I don't think the floor had been cleaned in months and I am not exagerating.
The bathroom where the tub and toilet were was equally dirty. I immediately checked to bed bugs and found no traces, thank goodness.
There was a huge hole in the wall by the door, due to the door stopper. You could tell by the filth in this hole that is had been there for months.
The next morning we were talking with other guests and they had horror stories about how filthy their room was. One lady said she walked to the bathroom with her white socks on and they were almost black from the dirt! . We couldn't change our room as the hotel was full and by the time we got back from dinner with friends it was to late to change hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I do no recommend staying here.

We stayed in a king room for 1 night pre-cruise. We were picked up at the airport (complimentary) in less than 10 minutes after we called. Upon arrival at the hotel it was a bit confusing in the lobby but I think it was because the rooms were not ready yet (it was 1:00). They stowed our luggage until it was time to check-in so we walked to the shopping plaza next door to a restaurant for some lunch. The outside of the hotel looks older and a little "tired" but our room was clean and quiet. The bed was VERY comfortable!! It was a little too chilly to swim but the pool looked very nice and the pool area was nice to sit and relax, have a drink, and unwind after a day of travel. The breakfast area was way too small and crowded for the number of people staying there but we managed to get something to eat to hold us over until we could have lunch on board the ship. They provided us with a complimentary shuttle over to Port Everglades. We were dropped off at the porters so that we could make sure all our luggage was there, tagged and ready to be taken onto the ship.
I would stay here again pre or post cruise.

After days of searching for a post-cruise hotel that wasn't priced exhorbitantly we chose the Comfort Inn for the location and shuttle service. We waited at least an hour for the KSA shuttle to pick us up and upon our drop-off we offered a tip to the driver. He sneered at us for the amount we gave him. That was the beginning of our descent into despair at this facility. The lobby was beyond packed to capacity with people checking in and out, baggage and bodies were crammed into every corner and spilling out into the entrance and even the driveway. The staff was doing their best to accommodate but it was clearly ineffective with the amount of people they had to deal with. All of us who had to wait for rooms to become available after cleaning were given the breakfast room to store our luggage for the next 3 or so hours, at our own risk. (Othere hotels offer locked and secure rooms). With no other option but to leave it unattended we did and returned after browsing the nearby mall. We were then able to check in and proceeded with our luggage to the rooms we were assigned. The first indication of problems was the breakfast room where we had left our luggage-- it was dark and smelled old and musty. Very unpleasant. Then there was the elevator - old, and not clean. Then the outside walkway to the rooms was littered with scraps of trash that had clearly been left for more than just a day. Then the rooms --- beginning with the door. It requires a strong push to open as they all seem to fit badly, and unless you really push hard to close, they remain partially unclosed. Inside the woodwork was splintered and gouged. The walls had old stains and years of accumulated grime. The beds looked scary -- pillows that are half the size of regular hotel pillows and lumpy, wrinkled, looked like something that should have been thrown out many years ago. The bedspreads were ancient, stained, and had cigarette burn holes. There was hair and toilet paper shreds behind the bathroom door, evidently the housekeeper didn't take time to look behind when she cleaned. The overall impression of the room was dark, dank, in very bad need of repair and upgrade, and the only way at this point to present these rooms as clean would be to throw out all existing furnishings and replace them. This place might have looked acceptable 20 years ago but it has not had any TLC in as many years. The pool area was nice, although far too few chairs and tables to accommodate many guests, so we were at a loss as to where to even sit, as we couldn't bring ourselves to stay in the room. Finally, sickened at the prospect of having to see what the beds would reveal, we walked next door to the Hampton Inn, and were able to book rooms there for that night and the next. Although we lost money on our Expedia reservation by leaving Comfort Inn, we were so relieved at not having to face sleeping there that we considered it worth it to walk next door and be greeted with immaculate facilities. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Look elsewhere. Research well before.

My family and I chose this hotel because of the shuttle service after our cruise and its location. After waiting at the port for an hr for the shuttle to pick us up we were taken to the hotel where right from the carport on it was total chaos. Literally there had to be a hundred customers with luggage crammed in their lobby...some going to port with others like ourselves returning.
When we finally were able to checkin it only got worse. The elevator and stairways (outdoor...this is a MOTEL...not hotel!) are filthy. Our door to the room was disgusting...looked really beat up and we had a hard time even getting it to physically open. The room, as is the entire hotel, was in desperate need of repair and renovation. It smelled, it was dirty and its old. There was cigarette burn holes in the bedspreads...the furniture was really beat up.
Needless to say...we left. The only positive thing I will say is that the manager on duty, Theresa, was very kind and understanding when we checked out and went elsewhere.
