This was our fifth time staying here because the staff is wonderful, everyone is so polite and friendly. The room are really nice and clean. Two mothers total of 5 children came in and took over the pool with their loud behaviors, mothers didn't seem to care. Kids can be kids, understandable, but loud and rude! Several people at the pool went to the manager to see if they could control the noise level at the pool but the manager could not do anything!!!! So annoying. This was not a vacation. We will not be going back again. There are several new hotels opening up on the same beach strip, will they them next.

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon so, perhaps, my expectations may have been too high due to the special nature of the trip. Let me start by saying that the staff were wonderful, everyone was polite and friendly. We had a corner room with two balconies, one with a partial ocean view and one with an intercostal view. This was lovely, although you also over look a very ugly car park roof, but that cant really be helped. The room was a good size and was clean. However, there were a number of niggles which, given the prixe Marriott are charging for this property, mean I wont be staying again in the future. Firstly, the cleaning staff insisted on standing outside our room every morning whilst they loudly discussed which of them would do what jobs. This was not a pleasant way to be woken each day, especially since we had hung the do not disturb sign so our room was not going to be cleaned, so the discussion could easily have been taken further down the hall! Secondly, the fridge in our room made a high pitched buzzing sound which was loud enough to make watching TV difficult. We called reception who, to their credit, sent maintenence straight up. However, the gentleman they sent looked over the fridge and then informed me thats just the noise the fridges make! He then said they'd get a new one sent but it wouldn't arrive until the morning (an odd solution, given that he seemed to feel this is what all fridges sound like, a new one wouldn't help). I agreed to this but didn't hear anything about the matter for the rest of our stay. Now, in fairness, I didn't chase it up but I was on honeymoon and didn't really want to spend any more of my trip on a noisy fridge, so we just unplugged it when we were in the room. This fixed the problem, I suppose, but did limit how much we were able to use the fridge. Thirdly, there are only 5 Marriott Rewards parking spaces. This is, frankly, a joke. These spaces were almost permanently full, which should give management a heads up that a hotel of this size is likely to have more than 5 Rewards members staying at a time. Given how strongly Marriott promote their loyalty programme, this after thought with the parking is quite irritating; if I am going to pay £17 per night to park, I at least expect to be able to access Reward member parking spaces. Overall, there were just too many little niggles, silly things that, on their own, seem like no big deal but, when combined, mean that this hotel just ever so slightly misses the mark, and certainly misses the Marriott feel that I know and love.

Nice place but for a Marriott that charges big bucks it seems to be slipping. We had a room with a King bed and nice views of the Ocean. We also had a toilet seat that was very worn with paint chipped away. Small frig that was so wobbly it was annoying. coffee service tray that hadn't been cleaned for some time. Shower grouting that was cracked and had seen it's better day. We had to change key cards 3 times because they stopped working, when they did work it took several tries to get them to work. These were small items and the only reason I bring them up is that it seems no one is paying attention to the small things. When you pay big bucks for a room and see these things, especially the toilet seat. it seems like no one cares.

On the plus side the room was otherwise very clean and the Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were a big plus that helped make our stay enjoyable. I hope this Hotel can get back on top of it's game as it's a great place to stay

We made a 4-night stay here in mid-April and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a very quiet room on the 8th floor with what's called a partial ocean view; we actually had views of the ocean and the intercostal waterway and there was always something to look at from the balcony -- huge cruise ships and container ships leaving the docks in Ft. Lauderdale, posh cabin cruisers, everday small boats, cigarette boats and even a barge-pusher (but no barge)! Service was first-class and we got everything we asked for: extra coffee, towels, pillows, plastic bags to put ice in for our cooler etc with a smile from our cleaner. They offfer a glass of champage at check-in which was very welcome after our flight from LA and even gave us one again when we came thru the lobby again the following day! Ate one dinner and a breakfast at the hotel, servings were HUGE and the Scottish salmon was especially delicious, as was the veggie and smoked salmon omlette the next morning. The location is at the quiet end of North Ocean Drive, tho that's likely to change when the big Margaritaville resort opens, the busier/business end of the street is within easy walking distance & you'll need a bit of exercise after those big meals! The beach is right outside the restaurant's patio dinning area as is the small pool. This property is very well maintained and all of the staff we interacted with were pleasent and helpful. Only one caviate, there is no microwave in the room and when I inquired about having my leftover breakfast rewarmed, they said, "we can't do that because the food might get too warm and an unwary guest could be burned." I suppose someone, somewhere filed a lawsuit sometime, too bad for the rest of us .... but an understandable policy. A small in-room microwave would have been appreciated more than this one time.

Room Tip: Partial ocean-views were great! Higher floors and not on the pool-side of the building are quieter.

We have stayed in a lot of Marriott's. And, we are overall pleased with the experience that Marriott gives to it's customers. However, the staff at this hotel went WAY above and beyond the call of duty. They were warm and friendly and continually went out of their way for us. For example, we were there during Passover and they sent someone to the store to get matzo for us AND they made sure we had matzo each time we went to the restaurant. All of us in our party were continually bowled over by the exceptional service and friendliness of the staff.

Aside from that, the hotel is very well located. Beach access is right out of the hotel doors. The pool is nice and clean, not huge but nothing out there is large. The rooms were lovely and well appointed.

We had a great time!

Just returned from a four night stay at this property. Staff at the hotel went out of there way to be friendly, and Gerard the Host at the outdoor restaurant kindly remembered my name each time I saw him. Milton Vargas, the Front Desk Supervisor, is amazing. I had a problem at check in and he worked miracles to accommodate my request. The hotel itself was perfect. Clean, quiet and excellent location. Nice family retreat!!
