Stayed here one night recently over the Thanksgiving holiday. There are very few places to stay one night on the northern tip of Anna Maria and we almost passed on Blue Water due to the outdated exterior, but for one night it was fine. The room was spacious and clean but quite basic with nothing special to distinquish it. A coffee maker was provided but you had to bring your own coffee. Beds were just OK. Looks like some renovations are underway (like replacing those ancient jalousie windows) and the place has a real retro vibe to it, which may or may appeal. The big draw is the view, which is outstanding as your room is directly on the Gulf and you're steps from that gorgeous sugar sand beach. Coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, along with a package of cookies, are provided in the lobby in the morning. Check-in staff was friendly and welcoming. I thought the price was high for the room but it was a holiday and we were directly on the beach.
