Came to do some scalloping, and wanted to be on the river. The hotel is not fancy, at all. But it was clean, and our riverfront room did have a great view of the river. It is an old hotel, but we just need the basics. We were initially concerned because we were next to the bar/restaurant & thought it might be noisy, but we had no trouble with that. The walls are a little thin, but not horribly so. The fridge ran kind of loud and the a/c unit gurgled & rumbled a lot. But we didn't hear our neighbors too much, and they had kids with them too. The hotel has wifi, but an earlier storm knocked it off the server, so it was difficult to look at the weather reports or find someplace to eat. Also, if you are facing the river, it's difficult to pick up the network. Oh well, we dealt with it fine. The restaurant next door (owned & operated by same people) was pretty expensive, and we heard people waited an hour for their food, so we didn't eat there. Staff was nice, and accommodating! Nice central location on the river; not too far from ocean or the springs. We would stay here again.
NOTE: You have to reserve a boat slip at the time of your reservation! You can't do it online, so call the office to do so. And you'll be charged an extra $10/day for "ramp use." Luckily, one (poorly located) slip became available for us the morning after we checked in.
