“Scotts on Fifth - best restaurant in the area!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2011

Scotts on Fifth was absolutely wonderful!!!! We have some friends that
live near there and will always visit when we're in town. The service was
fabulous (thanks Kevin) and the food even better! The crab bisque is to
die for and I'll never want to order it anywhere else. If you are anywhere
near the area, you definitely need to stop and check it out, especially if
it's a Tuesday or Sunday ($10 off bottles of wine and champagne). Thank
you Scotts for such a wonderful time!

“Excellent dining in a storefront restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2010

From the street view, one would not expect much from Scott's. It's location in a strip mall store front would not garner much interest on first sight. But once inside and seated at a table, you will not be disappointed in the cuisine and service. The dishes are imaginative without being unrecognizable. The food itself is delicious and well prepared. While there is outdoor seating, I would not recommend it as the tables are too close to the busy traffic on 192 to be relaxing. The service was attentive and professional. Would recommend it and would return again.

“THE place for fine dining beachside”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2008

I've lived in the Melbourne area for 11 years, the last 8 of which I've lived in Indialantic and am a foodie enthusiast. My wife and I enjoy dining out, and in the last ten years have probably eaten at just about every restaurant in Brevard multiple times.

Scott's on 5th is one of the newer restaurants in the area, and it is simply not to be missed if you are a lover of fine dining. Scott's features about 12 tables and offers an intimate dining experience with a friendly staff that manages to be attentive without being intrusive. Scott's is located about 1400 feet from the beach, and is the perfect place to have a romantic dinner and a bottle of wine, before going on a moonlight stroll along the Atlantic.

The menu is small, without being limited, with dishes ranging from Seafood Newburg (utterly amazing) to Tuscan Ribeye and Chicken Normandy for dinner, and a lunch menu featuring a nice selection of gourmet salads in addition to pasta dishes and a petite filet. Dinner prices range from $20 to $40 for entrees, which include a well-dressed house salad and choice of French Onion Soup finished with Cognac or Chilled Gazpacho. The Crab Bisque appetizer is simple one of the best soups I've ever had, beaten only by the Lobster Bisque at the International Soup Kitchen in NY (made famous by Seinfeld).

The wine list offers about 20 to 30 bottles, ranging in prince from $30 to $150, and cocktails are also available, as well as a few desert wines to accompany any after dinner treats you may wish to indulge upon.

Bottom line, you will not find better fare anywhere in our area. Scott's on 5th is THE place for fine dining beachside in Brevard.

“One of the best in melbourne area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 October 2008

This is a very small, very upscale restaurant, so you best make reservations. It is located in a strip center shortly after you come over the causeway to the beach from Melbourne. parking is behind the center.
The menu is very upscale with many options. Figure at least $100 per couple without a bottle of wine. It is probably also some of the best food in the area. I had Scott's favorite shrimp and my wife had a featured rib eye. they were both excellent.
Being so small it can get noisy. We were seated next to a group of 6 women who were partying. Unfortunately they seated dead center in this small restauarnt and so sometimes it was difficyult to talk at our table. Note - seat groups in a front corner.
We would go back for sure (hopefully without the noisy group).
