“Stealth motel. Charming and delightful under a very plain facade.”
Reviewed 25 January 2013

This motel, as the classified ads always say, is a must see. From the street, this is not a property at which I would have normally stopped. It's not shabby just older than places we usually trust, I'm guessing circa mid-1960's. We booked on the strength of other Tripadvisor, com reviews here.

We were very pleased with our room, charming number 6. Kudos to the housekeeper, this room was remarkably clean, spotless everywhere you would look. Quite a feat I'm guessing for a room so close to the sandy beach. A large flat panel LED TV in the sitting room, an efficiency kitchen with a stove, microwave and refrigerator and a separate bedroom with a door. The bathroom features a walk-in full tile shower. There were neighbors on both sides but we never heard a peep in this room. The wi-fi internet is strong, about 2.5Mbps.

The grounds were spacious and quite well cared for. A large green lawn between the units offers a place for kids to run around or park and wash your beach gear. An abundance of sturdy beach chairs were everywhere with a fine location to view the beach or watch the stars at night. We will definitely be back as we travel to this area frequently.

All that said, a minor negative. The bed in our room was fairly new, and comfortably firm but EXTREMELY noisy when getting in and out. BRAPPPP, CREEEAAK, CLUNG, SPROING Having no TV in the bedroom probably granted us additional sleep as there would be no sneaking into bed later without waking the spouse.

Room Tip: Rooms 1-4 are sunny most of the day, while rooms 5-8 have shaded front porches. 1 and 5 are closest...

This is the perfect place to go for a week long get away or longer for that matter. When you first pull up seeing the motel it will scare you, but wait till you check it out before making any decisions, just because it is small, perfectly groomed and the smallest motel on the beach doesnt meen that it is not worthy of your stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owners do all the cleaning their and maitenance their selves, are the freidliest people you could ever meeet. They are very helpful in any thing you need. Great surf fishing is only 50 yards out your door. The beach area is excellent with no vehicles allowed. The only thing that i wished would be changed is to put a a TV in the bedroom. Some great golf courses are also only a 15 minute drive away. This is the second time that my wife and I have been here in as many years and we hope to come back next year for an extended stay of a month or so.

Room Tip: If you plan on playing golf you must play Viera East golf couse. After 2:00 PM the rate is $29.00 pe...

All the years we have been going to Melbourne Beach. I can't believe we never found this place. Price was very reasonable. Room was like a mini apartment.Clean and comfortable, and quiet. Not modern but very cozy. Owner was very friendly, Walking distance to a great Bakery, Family style restaurant and Pizza Hut..And right on the beach. Only thing missing was a pool. but we didn't need it. Definitely recomend it

Room Tip: All rooms are great. With chairs and table outside. Bed room is separate from living/dining area,wit...

This is our second stay at this wonderful little bit of paradise among the high rise buildings. The Ritz it's not, but if you are looking for a nice, clean, no frills quiet place, with firendly management, this is the place. The beach is practically steps away. We no longer check for competitive rates, we book directly by placing a call to Krystyna, who is very charming and accomodating.

Room Tip: Call the management directly

The cute units are basic but clean and well maintained. Theyt are "mini suites", with a well-equiped kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedrom. The real draw is the location: right on the beach, so you're just a step away from walks on the beach, etc. . As others have mentioned, the friendly owners also offer plenty of beach chairs from which to sit and enjoy the views. We have been visiting relatives in Melbourne for many years. After many visits to Melbourne where we stayed at a more expensive chain hotel, which was located no where near the beach, it was great to stumble upon this hidden gem at the beach. Be sure to check out breakfast at the Blueberry Muffin restaurant across the street - it's inexpensive and very good (all the muffins are housemade daily). My husband and I will definitely try to stay there again on our next trip to the area.

Room Tip: We stayed in unit 5, which was great - sunny and pleasant, with air-conditioning that worked well.

This place is great for a laid back beach visit. It's right on the beach, so gives great access for night time walks to see sea turtles nesting, lounging on the beach all day, and sunrise views too. The owners are very friendly and offer beach chairs, and even loaned us a beach umbrella. The units have a small, simple kitchenette, so you can make some of your own meals. And it's nice to have a separate room for lounging other than the bedroom, so it feels more like a cabin for a small group or couple than like a motel. It's nothing fancy, but neither is the price. We did feel the AC was mysteriously noisy in unit 4 at times. And know that there are few extras included, so bring your own shampoo and body lotion.

We were lucky to stumble on this gem 4 years ago when our daughter started at FIT. Since then we have looked forward to our visits to Melbourne and the chance to stay here and enjoy the piece and quiet on the beach.

The rooms are mini-suites and very comfortable, always well taken care of and very clean. The beach is beautiful and quiet. There is no better place to sit, sip your morning coffee and watch the sun rise!

Unfortunately, as far as visits to Melbourne, they will be fewer and much farther between now that our daughter has graduated. If you will be visiting your student at FIT we can't recommend The Oceanfront Paradise enough.
