“Good food but limited lunch selection.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

We ate here once for breakfast and twice for lunch while staying at the Hilton. The breakfast was a choice of ordering off the menu or the buffet which includes made to order eggs/Omelets & waffles. We chose the buffet & ordered Omelets which were delicious. The buffet fare was a step above the normal buffet quality I've seen, everything seemed relatively fresh & hot. The breakfast was made by our server who didn't rush us out the door even though the breakfast service was over and offered us bottled water & coffee to go! What a terrific experience, I wish I had gotten his name.
The lunch food was good. The menu seemed limited after having lunch there twice. Overall it was a good experience with this Resturant.

“Great View Great Seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 January 2014

This Bistro is located in the Hilton Melbourne Oceanfront. But make no mistake, this is not the typical hotel restaurant. This is great food in an upscale casual environment with a view of the Atlantic. While we were there a number of people came in from outside the hotel to dine. Nice ambiance and friendly wait staff. A nice menu with everything from sandwiches and wraps to salads and more tradtional dinner fare with seafood and steaks. Wife and I had the Ocean Grill comprised of flame-grilled Mahi Mahi, Large sea scallops, and large shrimp with a white wine butter sauce. Really really good. A stir-fry vegetable medley came with it. Nice presentation. And the Cheesecake and coffee really topped it off. Try Jack's even if you are not staying at the Hilton, although it is very nice and well-priced in the winter months.

Surf and turf dinner was great, $99 per couple (no drinks). Service was fantastic. Casual dressup. Great for quiet, relaxing meal.

“Great service, good food, and resonably priced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2013

We spent 3 nights at the Melbourne Beach Hilton and had breakfast here every day and dinner two nights. Breakfast was very good (a buffet) and the service 5 star (Servers name was Jordon..and she was Excellent!). Dinner was also very good. The menu pretty much covers the beach standards (Sandwiches, Burger, Salads, etc..) and some great sounding entries. What he ordered as very good. Only downside was the restaurant ares, very open with wood floors, so a bit noisy.
Also, have to mention the Restaurant Manager, Heidi. She seemed to be there all hours and was a very pleasant addition to the dining experience. She really took interest and care of all customers...need more like her!

“Great food, good service, poor atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 December 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed dinner for two on a Wednesday evening. We waited at the host stand for a bit for someone to see us and seat us. The restaurant was empty! We sat by the corner with a view of the beach. Our waitress was kind, but was not able to answer basic menu questions such as gluten free and low salt options. Diner was served with fresh bread, salad, then main course with one side. Bread and salad were fresh and tasty. The main course was delicious! The chef combined simple flavors to provide and excellent presentation and delightful flavor. We followed our dinner with sweets, tbe chocolate cake and crem brule cheesecake. Both were overly rich, but scrumptious none the less. Overall, if you need a place on the beach and are not concerned with slow service and enjoy delightful flavors, this is your place.
