It might only have 2 guest rooms, but what delightful rooms they are. The view down the large garden is something to behold with the sun coming up in the morning - what a way to wake up! Lincolnshire has a magazine called "Good Taste" highlighting everything that enhances day to day life, that's what Goltho House has, "Good Taste". Our hosts Debbie and Sean, with a mention of Raff the dog, are so welcoming you feel you are home from home, it's a very comforting feeling. I would say it's ideal for visiting Lincoln, Market Rasen, Horncastle and the Wold villages, and on the doorstep, Wragby and the Ivy Pub only a mile down the road. My second visit. I took the wife second time round to show her my "Find". It's a 380 mile round trip for me, but next time I head for the Wolds my first call will be to Debbie.

I feel somewhat well qualified to write this review having stayed here not for one night or two but for some three months now and I will certainly be staying here for a bit longer yet. (I'm working in Lincoln), so this is, if you like, a long term review.

As has been said previously Goltho is a simply beautiful private garden and nursery. The gardens (which you are free to walk around) are beautiful as is sitting by the pond in the evening sunshine for a spot of reading, very peaceful. This is a real character old Georgian house, the rooms are huge with tea and coffee making facilities, TV and Wi Fi and a lounge downstairs with secure parking as well.

The beds are extremely comfortable, almost too comfortable because you'll not want to get up so you'll certainly get a good night's sleep, and when you wake up in the morning you will find the whole room bathed in sunlight as both rooms face the rising morning sun which streams warm light through the large low silled windows.

Your hosts Debbie and Sean couldn't make you more welcome and the breakfast, served in a beautiful old dining room is simply superb, the choice is very good and it's all very relaxing, you can even go and meet the hen that laid your egg if you like. This is a perfect start and a really good way to get set you up for your day.

Getting out and about Lincoln is just a few miles or about ten minutes down the road and being close to a main road it's all very easy.

If you are getting the impression that I really like staying here you are right. living away from home isn't ideal but staying at Goltho Gardens is as good as it gets. I would suggest trying it before many more discover this hidden little gem and it's all constantly booked out.

Room Tip: There are two rooms here, both superb, but if you really want the four poster bed you'd better s...

My partner and I stayed at Goltho House for two days during a holiday in the UK from Finland. It had been recommended to us by a family member and I cannot praise it enough. The B & B is part of Goltho Gardens, a private garden and nursery open to the public a short distance from Wragby. The house itself is a restored Georgian farmhouse with two guestrooms overlooking the beautiful gardens. We stayed in the gorgeous Green Room, with its wonderful four-poster bed. I can say truthfully that it was the most comfortable bed we had slept in during our holiday. B & Bs seem to have a habit of putting rock hard mattresses on their beds, so it Goltho's bed was heaven! The room also had tea and coffee making facilites, a working desk, flat-screen tv, free wi-fi and two comfy chairs. Owners Debbie and Sean made us feel very welcome and treated us like family. The full English breakfast was excellent and set us up well for each day. During our stay we were allowed to walk freely around the beautiful gardens. This is a fabulous bonus for flower and plant lovers. On the days the garden and nursery are open to the public, they also have a team shop! Highly recommend. We won't hesitate staying again should the opportunity arises.
