Description: Dwight's Mediterranean Style Bistro is Jacksonville's only Chaine des Rotisseurs member restaurant. This little bistro's strip-mall location gives no hint to the eclectic cuisine just inside its doors. The cozy dining room is adorned with charming accents, mosaic wall tiles, fresh flowers and a 100,000 cork collection. Sit at the bar and watch chef-owner Dwight Delude whip up his rustic fare or sit in one of three individually decorated rooms.. The menu changes daily according to Dwight's whims. Golden pan-fried crab cakes transport you beyond the Chesapeake Bay at first bite. Seafood including Sea Bass or New Bedford Sea Scallops are often an option, but the filet mignon with blue-cheese butter and balsamic reduction is a mainstay. Homemade ravioli come filled with Marcona Almonds, Truffled mushrooms or melted sweet onion, and are served as a side dish for the entrees. Plates overflow with fresh-grilled corn and seasonal vegatables, only adding to the generous portions. Discover why this little bistro is one of Jacksonville's best kept secrets

“Excellent food, impeccible service, high prices, odd location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

Well, two thumbs up for the excellent and unique food, and the wait staff is probably the most attentive in all of the NE Florida Beaches. We came here because of a Groupon, and were glad we had it! The prices are really high - it would be easy to drop $100-150 for a dinner for two with wine. And, the location - in a 3-unit strip plaza, right next to a sort of seedy-looking Irish bar, on a busy secondary road in Jax Beach, left a little something to be desired. Once inside, though, you sort of forget about the location and it's very nice. Certainly worth a try - the menu is very diverse and unique. Just not for the budget conscious.

“Glad we had a coupon”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

This is a very neat little fine dining experience restaurant in a rather bleak-looking strip mall. Not the kind of place you would expect to find in those kind of surroundings. The inside is decorated with corks on the walls and ceilings, very cool to look at. Extensive wine list. We were told it was infrequently open so that may be part of the reason for the prices on the menu. A $15 cheese plate appetizer yielded about 6 small pieces of different cheeses and a small loaf of bread. The pasta dishes were good but no better than less expensive options like Carrabba's. I'm just glad that we had a groupon to cover part of the cost of the bill, because I definitely would have been disappointed in the quality of the food versus the cost. Service was outstanding, my water glass was never less than half empty. Will probably never return as the cost of the meals definitely were not consistant with the taste and our budget. But it was a nice experience and helped to support a local small business.

“Very romantic spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

We used a Groupon, to experience this restaurant. The service was excellent. The food very tasty and well prepared. Extensive wine list. The prices were very high, for the location and portions, of the food. All the pasta's are served al cart. And prices start at $22.00. Include a couple salads and your total is around $67.00 with tax, and no drinks. Yes I did enjoy the food. But probably will not return, the size of the portions verses price, just did not work for us. Many other family owned similar, restaurants have better prices with food just as good.

“Great place to celebrate our anniversary!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Dwight's is a delightful bistro with exquisite food. We live nearby and have wanted to try it for years and finally made it a point for our anniversary. If you want standardization, go to Ruth's Chris. If you want unique decor and extraordinary food- Dwight's is for you! This little hidden treasure of mosaic tile and wine cork walls and ceilings, beautiful artwork, and extraordinary food is just the place that locals know is special! No run of the mill experience here. We couldn't resist the specials of the day- Sea Bass and Pan Fried Pork Chop. Both were even better than we had hoped. The Pan Cooked Foie Gras was also exquisite. Every dish had delectable sauces. Service was personable and excellent. I'm so sorry we waited so long to treat ourselves to a wonderfully special place. We'll be back to try some other dishes soon.

“Obnoxious Management”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

I would not go to that restaurant even if they gave me a free meal. It is the only restaurant at the beach that I would not eat at. The management is obnoxious!
