“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2013

What a great weekend. A truly hidden gem. Quaint, clean, beautifully decorated and what a great value . Never had to get in car to go anywhere. Couple of steps to live entertainment and multiple eating places. The owners gave it that added touch. My husband and I are already looking forward to returning.

My Husband and I had the most enjoyable stay at the Jensen Beach Inn. It was the perfect place to stay for a culinary journey without needing to drive. Across the street from some of the best restaurants in the world; 11 Maple Street and Peter's steak house, we were able to enjoy them both and drink just a little too much as we walked back across the street. The beds were the best part of our stay and thank goodness because we were tired. We recommend this hotel it is much nicer than the pictures allow!

This is a great, unique getaway at the heart of Jensen Beach. The inn is located in a historic building just a block from the Indian River Lagoon, and that block is full of shops and restaurants to choose from. Clean and newly renovated, we had a very comfortable room. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was hospitable, friendly, and very helpful. There is a comfortable common room with a huge flat screen and a rooftop deck. It is across the street from the train tracks, but I didn't have any problem sleeping. There is a new restaurant going in downstairs, so we plan to return and check that out on our next visit. Just a great get away - I highly recommend it.

You can't miss the Jensen Beach Inn with its tropical pink exteior and the dancing sandhill cranes painted on the corners, smack-dab in the center of the quaint town of Jensen Beach. We climbed the beautiful wooden staircase to enter the inn located on the second floor...although an elevator is on premises. Since its total makeover, everything newly renovated and refurbished in this historic building, the inn sparkles like a beautiful gem.
With seven captivating rooms to choose from, we chose the Stingray with a British Colonial vibe. Talk about a luxurious, comfortable queen four-poster bed with its exquisite linens! My husband, a light sleeper, said he'd heard trains rushing past at night...as the inn is situated near the railroad... but I slept blissfully through the night.
We enjoyed the 47" LED TV, the fluffy big towels in the gleaming bathroom, the knotty pine floors and on walls...and everything just squeaky clean! Indidvidual coffee containers were set out to slip into the coffee maker in the hallway, just steps away...with also a stainless steel refrigerator to hold guests' drinks and snacks.
The enthusiastic young innkeepers, the Nugents, made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of, giving tips on sightseeing and restaurants. They make appointments for massages in the guestroom if desired, too. We recommend dining at the Dolphin Bar Shrimp House on the river!
We enjoyed the complimentary Continental breakfast in the breakfast romm with its charming bar are, barstools and trio of small tables, a gorgeous marine mural covering an entire wall. Our day began most pleasantly in this cozy environment as we helped ourselves to piping hot coffee, an assortment of fresh fruits and yogurts, as well as baked goods.
We lingered in the adjacent picture-perfect sitting room to plan our day of art gallery hopping in town and a visit to A.E. Backus Art Museum in nearby Fort Pierce. Jensen Beach has frequent art shows and festivals, so the Jensen Beach Inn is right where it's happening, right outside its doors! And Hutchinson Island's sun-splashed beaches are just minutes away over the Indian River.

Room Tip: Our Stingray room was on the corner next to the elevator...you may want a room closer to the breakfa...
