Owner description: This is a great sea turtle rescue and conservation organization. They have a turtle hospital, viewing tanks, interactive exhibit hall, gift store and more. Public educational programs for guests of all ages are offered daily. During sea turtle nesting season (June & July), you can take a guided walk to watch the nesting turtles up close.

The marinelife center is a terrific way to spend a couple of hours. Their indoor exhibit is excellent and very educational. Outside, you get to see all of the rescue turtles they are currently rehabilitating. Fascinating! The volunteers are very informative and helpful. My only regret is that we missed the nighttime turtle walks they sponsor by a month. I'd recommend it to anyone!

What a neat place! Saw turtles of all sizes. Very educational and fun! Takes no more than an hour to look around. The best part about it is that it's free of charge (donations welcome).

One of the friendly volunteers led us on a nature hike which was well attended. Afterwards we toured the facility and were quite impressed by the wonderful rehab work these folks are doing. What a treat to find out something like this existed in this area. A great stop for kids and adults alike.

Our first stop was a visit to the turtle hospital. The Logerhead Marine Life Center is a small facility in Jupiter but it is very interesting place that is staffed with very knowledgeable volunteers. Their mission is to educate people about the sea turtle population that is indigenous to the adjacent beaches and to rehabilitate injured turtles that are brought to the center. Presently, they are nursing nearly a dozen turtles that range in size from perhaps 40 pounds to 600 pounds. They are located in a series of tanks that obtain their water from piping that originates in the ocean. The water is cleaned and tempertature controlled to make for the best rehabilatory environment. The tanks are accessable for close up viewing of these magnificant animals.

This turtle rescue center is a great place to visit. Adults and children alike will be fascinated to see the great work they do with sick or injured turtles. It is a very interesting place to spend an hour when on vacation in the area. They have very knowledgeable employees who explain all about the turtles presently in residence awaiting release back to the sea.

There is also a very nice retail store selling souvenirs and other turtle memorabilia.
