“Our favorite "get away" place for picnics, fishing, wildlife viewing and hiking!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2013 via mobile

This place is a little piece of heaven. Natural beauty for picnics, abundant wildlife such as eagles, deer & wild turkey, quiet waterways for fishing, meandering trails for biking or walking. Our usual routine is to pack a picnic lunch, rent bikes in the morning ($10.00 a day/per bike) and ride till we get tired, find a pretty spot (usually Cowpen Lake) and have a picnic. There is also canoe rentals for the boating enthusiast. So much more to see and do here....go and enjoy yourself. No charge to get into the park, plenty of parking.

“Excellent Park for walking, cycling, kayaking, canoeing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013

This is a serious nature-lover's paradise for walking, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, picnics--also horse trails.
But, it does have great paths and lots of them. Large park. There are Sandhill cranes, wild turkey, deer, peacocks, and other animals to see.

“GREAT place for a picnic, bike ride, or to climb a tree.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2013

Mt grandkids can't get enough of one special tree and we love to pack a picnic lunch and sit under the pavilion to enjoy it.. Well located in Jupiter with easy access from the road. NO DOGS, however. I find it has easier access than most parks so that makes it no trouble whatsoever. Ignore the stuff about the rednecks and rude people as it could scare you away from a great place. I have never encountered that. I am a local.

“Great trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2013

Beautiful place however you can't take your dog there. It's a nice place to spend time and you can kayak there too. Take it all the way to Jonathan D Park. Great fun.

“Great park!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

It's a pretty large park that is quiet. They have canoes that you can rent, however, I wouldn't go too far out because it's easy when you are going, but coming back it can be difficult since you are going against the current. They also have biking and walking trails and picnic areas. They have orange and grapefruit trees, but the oranges are wild and are sour. I'm not sure if the grapefruits are edible either.
