The four of us stopped by Novecento on Sunday, June 8 upon the recommendation of the concierge at the Ritz. What a great find! Great Argentinian/Italian food, nice staff, reasonable prices. Was surprised by the nice wine selection. Two of us ordered the chicken vegetable soup which was delicious and could have been a whole meal. The caprese salad with prosciutto was very good. They feature both "appetizer salads" and "entrée salads" which are based on size. Our main dishes were: spaghetti caprese, crab raviolis, grilled chicken parmesan and the 16 oz. steak. We passed each entrée around like a bunch of immature foodies...but we couldn't help ourselves.

Chef Federico sent us a dessert sampler (wow!). If you want something special, I'm pretty sure he'll do whatever he can for you. He's very passionate about his guests.

What a nice restaurant with great food and such nice staff. We will be back!

The food is consistently good. The owner is almost always there when they are busy and really makes a point of welcoming you to the restaurant. I like the empanadas and the salmon, my wife likes the shrimp curry. The skirt steak and french fries is a go to when you are hungry. They have drink specials throughout the week. It's a great place to watch sports with friends as they have multiple TV's and a large screen projector.

Novocento has good food, don't get me wrong, but the service is really lacking. I went with 2 female friends, only one speaks passable Spanish and thank goodness she did! The hostess barely spoke English, they were quite busy and she said that a table would be free in about 20min, would we mind waiting at the bar? As we waited about 15min, we saw that she gave our table to someone else! Then she told our friend who spoke Spanish that she had an even BETTER table for us. Right! We ordered and 2 out of 3 orders were incorrect. It was very difficult to gate the waiter's attention, finally he came by and seemed annoyed that we were complaining. After we finished eating, it took a heck of time to flag the waiter again for the bill. Then the bill was incorrect! Are our expectations too high when it come to customer service?

Like others have noted, one stumbles on this place in a strip mall. Small outdoor eating area and large indoor seating. Part of a chain. Hostess stand a bit disorganized when they were not especially busy. Wait staff lacked connection with customer and were a bit mechanical. Food well presented and tasty. Stick to most popular items on menu. Would go again no highs but no lows either.

We found this place during a recent visit to Key Biscayne. The menu had lots of options - everything sounded great. We tried empanadas, chicken milanese with great mashed potatoes, pasta, etc. The kids mac and cheese was awesome - not from a box or mix! The kitchen is open so you can see the staff working. Service was quick and friendly. We got the kids meals delivered first without even asking! Drinks were refilled, sangria was delicious! there is a patio for small groups but we had a larger party. If we had stayed longer, I would have come back!
