We chose Dolphin Plus because of Tripadvisor and the reviews saying was a personal experience and it was. Our daughter age 13 was the one swimming but we all went to a briefing before the swim in a group of about 20 people. Sarah, an Australian intern gave us a half hour, really interesting talk about the dolphins and what to expect from the swim. ( we booked the structured swim) Her enthusiasm was wonderful and really infectious and her love of her job was really great to see.
Then the great part was that we were split into smaller groups and our daughter got to swim alone with two dolphins.....Fiji and Dinghey were their names. The look on her face was priceless as the trainers ( who obviously loved their dolphins) worked their way through a series of exercises where she got to stroke the dolphins, kiss them, doing a foot push/ superhero ( where 2 dolphins push you forwards by your feet) plus loads more. There was no rush and at times the dolphins swam off ( one to check on her baby) and then came back again to continue. The whole experience really was one of a lifetime. She then joined the trainers on deck while a second group worked through the same exercises. The trainers were constantly talking to her and feeding her snippets of info about the dolphins which she loved.
We were lucky enough to be close by watching the whole experience and taking some wonderful photos and videos. We did however buy the photo packages as they had managed to get some great pics.
You have to do this once in your life and this is defintately the place to do it.

Well organised, friendly and all that time with the dolphins on the structured swim was fantastic and well worth the price.

It is a very expensive activity but definitely worth it. I took my teenage daughter for the natural swim. She absolutely loved it. If we get back to Key Largo, she wants to do the structured swim. The employees were very helpful. My daughter is considering Marine Science as a major. Thank you Bri for all of the information that you gave to her.

Me and 2 friends went and did the structured swim on July 10th. Although it seems expensive we did a lot of research and this wasn't the most expensive, but was the best place to do it, with reference to dolphin care and reviews. We did the 3.00pm swim and were a little worried when we got there as there were a lot of other people so were worried it would be a huge group with a lot of waiting around. This was not the case at all. They split you into really small groups so we had only 2 others with us. They did all of their interactions first while we watched. It was good to see what we would be doing and got us very excited. Once it was our go we all got in and did group interactions as well as individual. The dolphins are absolutely amazing and so clever. You can tell they are very well taken care of. All the trainers seemed lovely and really cared for the dolphins as well as us and whether we were enjoying it. You have a photographer taking photos the whole time and you get to see them after. They are great quality, we bought the disk before we even did the swim as knew we would want pictures and this saved a lot of money! We had the best day and would recommend this to anyone. It was all amazing and I can't complain about anything! Very we'll organised!

It blew my mind! I've never swum with dolphins and I was SO pleased with my experience - the staff were friendly and I enjoyed our little info session on dolphins at the start. I was with 2 friends and we were put into a group with a family. They went first, which was fine with us because we got to see what we were about to do. We then went in (just the 3 of us) and got to do everything - we did activities as a 3, in pairs and had time to have 1 to 1 bits with the dolphins. I just loved it and felt so safe and taken care of. After we had finished, we went to view our pics (order them in advance if you'll want quite a few because it's such better value then doing it on the day). Yes, it was an expensive experience but for me it was completely worth it. You have to except that swimming with dolphins will never be a cheap thing to do. Thank you Dolphin Plus for a wonderful day! :)
