The reception and breakfast buffet are 100% Hilton, but the rest of the hotel i.e. rooms, dinner menu feel more like a sub $100 Embassy Suites.
The location is great, a mile or so from the centre of Key Largo, the private beach and pool areas are well kept, and the water sports has good equipment - but at $130 for 20mins parasailing it has top end pricing to match! Despite being busy the hotel is very quiet and has a relaxed atmosphere - if you want a few days rest away from the crowds this is perfect.
No real benefits for Hhonors members - no room upgrades, and only basic continental breakfast which is rigorously policed by the waiting staff to make sure you don't sneak some scrambled egg on to your plate!

We stayed at the Hilton Key Largo In January, so it was awhile ago, but I definitely recommend this hotel. No it is not a sleek tower hotel, but that would just be silly in the Keys. It is nesled in the trees with a beautiful little beach that you can relax on and get cocktails and food from their outdoor bar. We had dinner in the dining room and found it to be a lovely intimate setting, with great food. We explored the surrounding area during our 2 day stay here, and always felt comfortable and welcomed when we returned to the hotel in the evening. One day we kayaked off property in the mangroves, hoping to see a manatee. We were not successful and very hot and sweaty when we returned to the hotel. We saw some children gathered by the side of the dock area and went to see what they were doing. Right next to the dock was a huge manatee! It made our day. Our room was spacious and clean. It had a living room area on one side, the bathroom in the middle and the bedroom on the other side. We overlooked the parking lot, but there are tons of trees surrounding this area, so it was really quited nice. Only thing I really didn't care for was where the pool was situated. It is sort of away from the hotel by the parking lot. We were much more interested in the beach anyway, so this wasn't a big deal. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not note a lot of bell staff to assist with luggage, but my husband and I are quite capable of rolling our luggage to our room, so this was not a deal breaker for us. The Keys are a rather quirky, outdoorsy place to visit, and I felt this hotel suited the envirnment very well.

This is an amazing hotel which is perfectly situated with its own private beach, it was like paradise. there are plenty lounging chairs with towels provided. The room was spacious and very clean, there were tea and coffee facilities in the room, the beds were very comfy, with a big TV and safe. We had a balcony facing the beach which was divine, watching stingray and schools of fish first thing in the morning, well what can I say. There is a bar on the beach where you can buy lunch, which was a little pricey, but you are in the Hilton, you expect to pay a little extra. There are plenty of other dining options in the local are (Mrs macs kitchen recommended). I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to relax and unwind for a week. I took my children there and they enjoyed the beach, snorkelling and paddle boarding. This hotel absolutely made my stay in Key largo very memorable and I will definitely go back there. fantastic.

Room Tip: Ask for beach view we stayed in 451 couldn't ask for a better view!

My family and I came here to spend the second week of our holiday after being in Kissimmee for the first week. We left after 2 (very long!) nights after desperately booking another villa back in Orlando - as the thought of staying here a moment longer was too much. Where do I begin....the room was very basic, no simple toiletries in the bathroom like shower gel etc. The carpet was filthy - within minutes of my daughter walking barefoot on it the soles of her feet were dirty. The TV didn't work properly and wouldn't allow us to change channels, the coffee machine was also a non starter, the wifi was slow and kept cutting out (part of an $18 room charge)! The beach stunk of sewage and overall the service was abysmal to put it politely. The concierge took over 30 mins to help us with our luggage that in the end we gave up waiting and took it up ourselves. My nephew's room was already preoccupied ...... with red ants and we had the pleasure of listening to dogs (yes dogs!!) barking all of the time! WHAT HELL!! When we informed the staff at reception that we were leaving, she simply said "I'm sorry you didn't like it.... We are happy to waiver your $75 charge that you owe us for checking out early". Unbelievable!!! We fled back to Kissimmee and even though we had to spend more booking a villa, it was worth it in order to salvage the rest of our stay rather than spend a moment longer here. I have stayed in a number of Hiltons before but this was was like no other and not for one good reason- it was like a 2* resort (and that's being generous). Do not waste your money at this Hilton Key 'Hell Hole"!!

I love the beach at the Key Largo Hilton. It is set among mangrove trees and you can actually spend your time on the beach in the shade. The beach is on Florida Bay, so there are almost no waves. The water is clear and warm with lots of little fish. It is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, great for kids! There are a lot of other activities available for kids when they tire of the beach. Our family really enjoyed some of the activities that focused on trying to maintain the environment.

Laid back kind of place with great outdoor grounds and comfortable rooms. Great bartenders there and it's nice to have a small, quiet beach right by the ocean, facing West for sunset viewing. The calamari at the bar was very fresh and delicious.
