My husband and I stayed here for one night. We picked this resort due to its close proximity to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The overall resort was well kept with plenty of lounge chairs at the pool and on the beach. Although the beach view was beautiful, we were a bit disappointed that it was more of a small lagoon. So don't expect a long stretch to take a stroll on. We did enjoy drinks and bites at the pool bar. There was a surprise waiting in our room-a bottle of champagne on ice to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you Marriott for the grand gesture!

Thank you for spending your anniversary with us! We were thrilled to be apart of the experience! We have a great dive shop on property, Pirate Island Divers. We invite you back to experience an underwater adventure with them! We look forward to having you back in the future!

The resort was very nice and the property was beautiful. Taking a nap in one of the hammocks is a must! Had room service for breakfast from Gus' Grille and it was delicious, especially the breakfast potato. The portions were big so on the second morning of our stay we shared one plate and it was more than enough. Also had drinks and appetizers at Breezer's and were equally satisfied. Overall, everything was great, the staff were friendly and professional. The only negative is when we arrived at 4pm(check in was at 3pm), we were told that there were no bay view rooms and that we were being upgraded. Wasn't too happy to hear this (we specifically booked a bay view) but decided to have a look at our upgrade. It was a beautifully decorated 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, dining and living room area. But we had two problems, one, it was just my husband and I and we didn't need all that space (our 3 teens were home) and two, our balcony faced the very noisy pool area (it was on the 1st floor) and the bay was a distant sliver between people and pool furniture. The whole purpose of our trip was to have privacy and an unobstructed bay view. So I kindly informed the staff member that it was not acceptable ( I think she was shocked, not many people would have turned down that upgrade but it had NO view of the bay). She was very nice, looked on the computer and suddenly room 341 (bay view) appeared. Why this wasn't available to begin with is beyond me, I made this reservation 2 months in advance. The view of the bay was at a distance to the left and right because the Dive shop and Gus' Grille were right in front of us. The only reason I wasn't more upset was because we were on the 3rd floor, so we were high enough where the view of the property and the bay was still very pretty. It was also a corner room so our balcony was large and a little more private than the upgrade. It was more in tune with what I was hoping for when I reserved but not quite. The Marriott's website has pictures of the bay unobstructed when describing the "bay view" and that's what I thought I was getting. Perhaps show different views of the bay so people don't feel deceived?? Either way, we had a wonderful two day stay and enjoyed the property to the fullest. The sunsets are unbelievable!

Room Tip: This doesn't apply to standard rooms...if you get bay view, 3rd floor or higher is best, corner...

Very beautiful property! Has a beach, pool, bar, room service, restaurant and the staff is very nice. Also, water activity rentals are available (jetski, kayak, boats, etc.) The rooms are big and have AMAZING beds. You will definitely want to set a reservation as the rooms get completely booked ahead of time.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a beach. Worth the sunset/sunrise!

We stayed 5 nights and did it all.

You know you're not going to Key Largo to save $$ - hold on to your wallet. Once you get over the sticker shock, you'll find the slowed tempo is a reality. The rooms are not "plush", but motif matches well the kickback beach theme. Accommodations are comfortable, pool and beach fronts are fabulous. Dive shop with rentals of all types is a plus. Conveniently located to John Pennekamp state park - we took two snorkel tours during our visit and loved it. Best part of the resort is relaxing along the shoreline and watching the sunset, sitting by the fire and watching the ocean after dark. Two thumbs up!

As we walked into the lobby of this hotel we were greeted with "You won't be charged for the upgrade". Sure enough the front desk attendant got us a suite for the same price as our original reservation. This is an amazing property. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We brought our own Standup Paddle Boards and we're able to launch right from the beach. The hotel was within walking distance of some great dining and outdoor bars.

The room was clean and had a great view. The beach/pool area has something for everyone with hammocks, lounge chairs, tiki huts, and a lagoon-like beach. Gorgeous sunset viewing! It was the perfect mid-week getaway! Not too far from Miami, but far enough to get the feel of the Keys laid back attitude!

“Don't glass it in”
5 of 5 starsReviewed August 4, 2014 NEW
The reason that I go to Breezer's with all of my family and friends regularly is because it is the only open air bar in Key Largo. If it were to be glassed in it would lose a huge part of it's atmosphere and appeal. It is always comfortable at the bar with cold drink in hand. Please don't glass...

“Breezers is the best bar in key largo.”
5 of 5 starsReviewed August 3, 2014 NEW via mobile
The view and setup of bar excellent. Other bars in town don't compete because the are enclosed. Even with the summer heat, the bar stays cool and enjoyable upstairs looking over the bay. The bartenders are very friendly and attentive. Overall review is a 10 out of 10

I feel I have found just about every little corner of the Keys to relax and enjoy the sunset, but Breezer's at Marriott Bay Beach Resort is one of my favorite. I have lots of friends and family that come to town and always stay at the Marriott, so I often recommend to grab a bite to eat and a...

“Great place for drinks, food, and sunset!”
5 of 5 starsReviewed June 28, 2014
This is the place to go for happy hour drinks, live music, and a great sunset view. The bartenders Adam, Mario, and Lena are always great--they always remember our favorite drinks--and Roberto, who does the schlepping to and from the kitchen, is very nice, too. The food here is really good, and the service is quick and friendly. On Friday...
