Absolutely amazing villas. Rented a two bedroom villa with an oceanview for a week in December. Price was very reasonable, great rooms, beautiful baloconies, very modern decoration, and clean. The view was to die for and looks directly out over the ocean. The pool was enormous with two beach type entrances. Additionally very quiet, even for the off season so incredibly relaxing. Only two negatives no daily housekeeping (once weekly) and lots of rules.....no drinks by pool, no coolers by pool, hottub closes at dusk., etc None of the rules were enforeced but still seemed a little uptight. All in all one of the best places I have every stayed.

My wife and I booked an ocean front/poolside 3 bed/ 3 bath at Mariners Club for a quiet week get away with 2 other couples. The property had the potential to be very nice but was over shadowed with very noticable 'defects'. Every closet in the place was off the track. The icemaker worked but flooded the kitchen. One of the sliding glass doors had a broken window. The blinds were ripped and battered. A bar stool had a missing seat. Two bed legs were broken resulting in us putting the mattress directly on the floor. We killed at least 4 cock roaches per day and the carpet in the master bed was trashed. You would think the place did not have a maintenance department. Again, we enjoyed ourselves, but were confused at why anyone would let a nice property fall apart. To add one more negative, the restaurant next to the property had average food with below average atmosphere.
On a positive note, the place was very modern and the pool was excellent.
I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for fast days and long nights. It is very quiet and low key. More of a sit by the pool all day sucking up rays followed by dinner at one of the local tiki bars.....repeat.
If I could make one recommendation to the management of this property. Replace 2 or 3 of the many security persons with 'repair' men.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The accommodation is luxurious and the pool to die for. I had an ocean view condo which was beautifully decorated. The resort was also very empty much in part to do with the threat from hurricane IKE. I guess that I was lucky in that respect. I don't think that my stay would have been quite so enjoyable where there more people around as it could have gotten overcrowded very quickly.

nice place, you need to travel about in car round here to see or do anything apart from go to the resteraunt why people complain i do not know as all you have to do is open a gate by the mariner and walk ten yards to some of the best food that money can buy. the pools are very good and the room we had was excellent. go to the bird sanctury on the way further down the keys (about ten mins in car) and see dozens of wild pelicans egrets and cranes fed about three o clock awesome place

My sister has a time share that allowed us to stay in the new Villa's at the Mariners Club in Key Largo. Wow, very luxurious. 2 bedroom, 1 small office area, big outside deck, washer and dryer, 2 1/2 bath, Kitchen is done in black granite with stainless steel frig & stove etc., marble floors thru entry reflecting the gorgeous ocean and lush palm tree gardens that overlooked the pool that had a purple light in it at night. The bedrooms had king or maybe even cal-king beds in them with beautiful wood headboards and super soft linens and royal looking beddings. There are no restaurants on the property but there is a couple within walking distance. There are nice restaurants up and down the keys you can drive to. Not alot of sandy beach area but they do have a man made small one. The pool is very large, you can walk right in it on a gradual slope, no steps and music is playing during the day. The Villa's are definately worth checking out, I didn't want to leave. First class.

We had a great time at Mariners Resort Villas & Marina when we stayed there for 6 nights in July 08. We were pleased with our accommodation which was exactly as shown in photographs and very clean. On our first night, our air conditioning broke down and we were very swiftly transferred to other accommodation, and given an upgrade to compensate for having to pack and unpack twice.

The staff, especially manager Stacy Dodson, were excellent. The situation around a beautiful harbour, the pools and the resort grounds made for a special holiday.

I believe that it is only when things go wrong that you really find out how a resort cares for their guests, and Mariners came out with five stars. We would definitely recommend this resort.

We stayed here for 3 days as the final part to our virgin Flydrive, check out our review of Hawks Cay and Ocean Key resort.

If you have booked this resort then relax because you have made a good choice. The entry to the venue is gated with a very polite security team who are there 24/7. You then pop to the booking centre where you get allocated your apartment. All easy, friendly stuff and the staff are very helpful, even let me use their computer to do online check in.

Our apartment had its own drive, it is in the form of a New England town house, you effectively get one of three levels. On entry you go into a lovely living area, with soft sofa and chairs, coffee table and Sat TV. You then have and open plan area to a Kitchen all well specked , a good on suite bathroom then closed glass door into a large double bedroom. This accommodation is of a very hight standard.

The site has tennis courts, is a moments walk to the marina, and the main pool is fabulous, possible the biggest I have seen. There is another more private pool but we didn't use it as the main on was so good. The centre provide you with very good info of local restaurants which we used and found to be all very good. It is a good base for the Everglades also.

In summary, this is not like a hotel, it is more like your own holiday home, the accommodation it excellent, the location is good, there are lots things to do in the area and you are close to shops and restaurants. A good choice if you've made it, if you haven't then grab it while you have the chance
