“Keysey Stay”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

My kind of place! Cute & clean with a nice waterfront for swimming & making new friends. My wife & I stayed at one of the villas which had a livingroom with a small kitchen & a separate bedroom so my wife's early wakeups did not disturb me . Right out front of our door was a table with chairs covered by a small tiki roof where we enjoyed our breakfast and planned our day. Overall the grounds presented a good feel of the Keys. The buildings are old but the new owner, Henry, is doing a good job of updating them. Bottom line we enjoyed our 3 night stay and will be back.

Best part about our cabin was its location - about 25ft away from the ocean. No fancy granite counter tops and upgraded furnishings, but for a couple who spends most of their time out of doors it couldn't be beat! Kayaks for use - no rental fee. Close enough to walk for dining. A mini-mart nearby to stock or fridge with beer/soda. Casual atmosphere suited us well, friendly service, relaxed attitude, tidy and clean. Loved the evenings watching the sunset from the dock. Spent an afternoon sleeping in hammocks under the palms.

Room Tip: Loved being right on the beach

The Seafarer was a fun stop for two nights on our way down the Keys. It was very clean, newly painted and very friendly. They have a small dock and chairs facing the water, along with kayaks to use. Great spot to watch the sunset .

Perfect overnight stay on our way to Key West after arriving at MIA. Staff was very friendly and rooms are clean. For price of room and location, this place had very good value. No complaints to speak of as stay exceeded expectations. Would stay here again when we come back to the Keys.

We booked the seafarer based on the reviews here on trip advisor. We were not disappointed.
We were met by Henry who was welcoming and friendly. Our room was close to the road and we upgraded to a larger room near the waters edge named Bonefish. The room was a good size with 2 beds,tv, fridge, microwave and coffee and tea provided on a hospitality tray. The shower room was off the bedroom and was a double size shower with a huge rainfall shower head. The wc and basin were in a separate room off the bedroom. There were plenty of towels and toiletries provided. The room had its own outside deck with seating and a table and there were torches lit as the sun went down around the deck and on the path going down towards the beach.
There is a narrow beach at the end of the resort and this had lots of hammocks and deck chairs for you use. There are also kayaks and paddleboards for you to use.At sunset most people sat on the beach or on the jetty to watch the sun go down and Henry came along with a bottle of bubbly and glasses for us to enjoy while watching the sunset.Pastries, coffee and juice were available at breakfast but we choose to go and visit some of the local eateries that had been suggested and rated on TA. A great friendly, welcoming and relaxing resort.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend. This is a small mom and pop resort. It's a collection of older cabins BUT it's very clean and recently renovated. Henry and Scott go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Food is close at hand (try the keylime pie at Ballyhoos, and breakfast at Harriets). The resort does provide coffee and muffins at the office each morning to start your day, and also provide a little champagne toast at sunset. There is lots of comfortable seating at the very clean beach area. Kayaks are free, paddleboards for a small rental. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Room Tip: We stayed in Bonefish one of the smaller units. . 2 queens, no space to sit inside, but only steps f...

We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

On New Year's Eve, we did a sunset bubbly toast which everyone enjoyed (including me!)

Yeah, we admit there was an impromptu repeat, names and dates will remain anonymous! Glad you were there to be part of it.

For those reading....we can't predict when it will happen again but the more often you stay with us the greater the odds! ;) ;)
