“Great original place to visit and staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2011

The Staff here was very helpful. I went on vacation alone for the first time and I was a little uneasy about plans. Rutanya at the parrot key helped me plan my day trips. She was like a good friend. The rooms and hotel grounds looked like the pictures , so cute. Southern style with and caribbean flair. Great place for a get away would go back. This place is not in the main part of town but was very easy to get to on a bicycle if your not afraid of a little adventure. Thanks Rutanya for taking care of me and making my stay flow smoothly.

Place was charming and very well stocked. Our cottage porch opened up onto a man made sandy area which created a wonderful feel. Units were clean and it was so nice to have access to a laundry facility with plenty of washers/dryers. Resort is beautifully landscaped and was a great value price wise for our family of 4 with teenagers!

Room Tip: We preferred rooms which backed to cove and man-made beach

We arrived a day early in Key West and the staff was able to accomodate us even though they were sold out and it was the opening day of Lobster Season. We spent 6 nights at the resort with our teenage son and every expectation we had of this resort was met or exceeded during our stay. Every staff member we encountered was always friendly, helpful and accomodating. From breakfast poolside to late afternoon Key Lime coladas we never felt like we were staying right next door to a Walgreens and the busy main highway. The Resort itself is less then a 3 minute drive to Duval Street and Mallory Square. Don't let these items deter you from staying here. Once you enter your room from the front door and step out your back door you enter into an oasis of swimming pools and lush tropical gardens. We will definitely be returning to this resort on our next visit to Key West and will recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to the Keys.

Parrot Key Resort is trully good resort. The idea of four small pools  is excellent. Two bedroom suites with two bathrooms and a living room are huge. Interior is fresh and modern. If you don't care about the water view than you have a bargain for what you get if you choose for the garden view. You pay a lot extra for water front. Like already others wrote, there is no beach.  Service is excellent. Café Blue is basic.

Just back from the parrot key and my partner and I have a wonderful time there. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious! Spotlessly clean when we arrived although a little more attention to cleaning during our stay would have made this hotel 5 for everything! Maids seemed rushed off their feet though!

Although this hotel is not on Duval street we actualy orefrereed this as it was lovely and quiet and spacious compared to some we looked at much closer. we hired bikes for $18 pp for first day and $10 each day after this was a great way to see the island and a very safe and enjoyable way to get around. About a 15 min ride into duval street, we even rode in some nights!

We did a jet ski tour with sunset watersports at the hotel, $20 discount for 10am booking and had a brilliant time!

Pools were lovely, 4 small pools all in lovely private areas with palm trees all around, this meant you had lots if choice to decide where you wanted to go as some pools were noisier, had more children etc. Food at pool bar also nice.

We just returned from a great stay at Parrot Key Resort. This place was wonderful. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxation of the entire resort. We had a waterfront guestroom which was fine for a short stay. The waterfront was not very visible because of the foliage but, we were right by the sunset deck which was nice to walk out to view the bay. The chairs on the back porch were lovely as were the potted plants on each porch which gave the resort a personal touch. The only thing I wish the room provided was a couple of throw rugs or at least a broom as the sand on the tile floors was quite annoying. The pools were beautiful and tropical, exactly what you want when you are traveling in the Keys. We will definitely be back!
