Overall a great resort and the grounds are very lush and tropical as expected. The resort is about about 2.5 miles from Duval street and Mallory Square as well as the beach. Shopping is nearby and taxi service is easily had. We will stay here again.

My friend and our families stayed three days and four nights at the parrot key hotel. The amenities were Fabulous. The staff was very friendly and extremely professional especially Rutonya who works at the front desk. Upon making my reservation over the phone prior to my trip I was a little displeased with the reservation service. After arriving at the resort and speaking with Rutonya, my family and I were very pleased. She went out of her way to make sure I was a happy customer, and indeed I was. Thank you, Rutonya for going the extra mile to please your customers. I definitely would recommend the Parrot Key Resort. Oh, Liza thank you too.
My only complaint is the parking. The parking spaces are on first come first service. The only plus about parking in Walgreens parking lot its a nice little walk after eating a lot of food in Key West.

Great experience, great hotel. Everything was perfect. I can't wait to repeat next season. We were there with family and friends and everybody had a great experience. Rooms clean and beautiful, all facilities were perfect. Definitively I recommend this destination.

Quite simply, fantastic. Wished we'd booked for longer. Try the fruit smoothies at the Cafe by the first pool. Clean, friendly, quiet aircon, and great accomdation.

OK so it's not in the centre of Key West, but in the evenings taxis are an easy option (4 dollars per person + 1 dollar). During the day it's easy to take your car into town, and there are several options on parking - we parked on Simonton St at Greene St on a lot for 20 dollars for the day - ok street parking would have been cheaper but you would need to search for a space and have enough quarters but the location of this lot is near where you need to be.....

Room Tip: Ask for sunset view accommodation - upper if you want a view of the bay, lower if you want direct ac...

It was my family's first visit to Key West and we wanted to somewhere to stay that wasn't on or near Duvall Street. Parrot Key is beautifully landscaped with lush tropical vegetation and 3 - 4 pools with plenty of chairs where you can order cold beers and food from Café Blue. It's a little slice of tropical paradise in the middle of a busy highway but I never heard the traffic. We stayed in a 2 story garden suite with plenty of room for the 4 of us - the master bedroom/bathroom was close to the living room, and upstairs was a 2nd bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom for my sons. Very spacious and clean with a balcony off the master bedroom. I did see the comments about "beach access" - if you walk around to the back there's a beautiful view with a beach/chairs but no swimming that I could see....if you want a scenic view from your room I would ask for a room in the back (which I would do next time). All in all a perfect place to relax and cool off (it was HOT!) after visiting the tourist spots in the downtown area.

Room Tip: Best view are the rooms facing the water with balconies right on the beach - very scenic.

This is a very nice family hotel. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated also with comfortable beds. There is no beach access but if you are visiting Key west , you already know he beaches here are not for real! So access to beach here really does not mean much. On the other hand, this is a lovely hotel with great access to all key west has to offer.

Room Tip: don't pay for "beach access room" as there is no such. You will get a room facing the...

We were looking for a beach access hotel for our week long trip on key west. This resort looked the most promising but I was very disappointed when I realized there was no beach access. I guess I should have looked into it better. Rooms are huge and clean. Bed is amazing. Great place to relax. Pool area is nice too. Bar is expensive and not too friendly but breakfast is delicious. It's quite a ride from downtown and you need transportation to get there. Parking area is very small, maybe 30 cars can fit so you have to use the Walgreens Parking lot. Didn't feel to comfortable leaving the car in an area like that but I had not much choice. At least it was free. Receptionist was very helpful and kind when checking in. Very informative. Quite place, perfect for vacation!
