We stayed at the parrot key resort for two days. Like others have mentioned, there is very lush landscaping and a few pools within, so you can spend a lot of time at the pools. The cafe next to the pools has good food and is pleasant. Some Rooms have a nice back porch with a sandy area which is great for kids. Overall this is a VERY well kept (and relatively new) resort. Pricey but a good value for money in key west.
