Walk into Capt Tony's and you won't know what you want to do first. Well, order a drink of course, but then start looking at the walls, the ceiling, the t-shirt shop, etc. Between the memorabilia hanging from the ceilings and walls, as well as the stories in the media releases, you might find yourself ordering another drink before you've gotten through it all. Wonderful. Highly recommend.!

Captain Tonys is just off Duvall street and is probably as close to "old" Key West as you can get. Fascinating news articles posted around the walls are fun to read and tell the story of Capt. Tony, just wish I could have met him! The " stuff" hanging from the rafters, and all around are amusing. The bartenders were fun, attentive, and the entertainment is good. There are also pool tables and believe it or not, (what appears to be) a couple of tombstones in the floor. Great fun.

This is a must, whenever I am in Key West. First couple times I went there, Captain Tony actually sat with us and had some great stories. He is gone now, but when I go in there, I still love to sit andtalk to other patrons and we all seem to be able to share some great stories.

Billed as the original Sloppy Joe's and the oldest bar in Florida (I am not sure if either are true), this place has a lot of charm and character. Just off Duval Street, it is worth a quick detour to stop in, have a drink and soak up the atmosphere. It is a great place to hang out.
