Marquesa is a combination hotel and B&B without the breakfast. I understand there are 28 rooms in a complex of 3 or 4 large houses. Nice little pool area in the back. Excellent reception when we came-we really felt welcomed and the manager even helped us with our luggage. And the welcome wine didn't hurt, either. We came to Key West without a reservation, as we were unsure if we were going to stop somewhere first along the Keys route in. Rooms quoted by several hotels were similar to what we were quoted in advance. Key West hotels are very, very expensive, and the typical, clean room will go for $200 and above for what would normally range $80 to $100. Marquesa was much nicer than typical, but still very pricey. Location of Marquesa was very good, near the main area. Because of the great location, parking was about impossible, but the manager was able to get us in one of their reserved spots (no extra charge).
