The hotel has a lovely location and grounds, with rooms that sparkle in cleanliness. We ate at their restaurant two nights in a row because the food was absolutely the best we've ever had in Key West. The Housekeeping staff was totally thorough, providing turn down service and any request at the snap of your fingers. However, the walls to our room were paper thin and we could hear a person next door in the morning having quite severe stomach problems, very graphically. The beds were also so hard that by the third night it actually woke me up several times from aching. My husband also was wondering why the mini bar did not include even one can of beer or Coke, ever. I also have a minor complaint to the front desk. Upon check in we were treated like royalty and given a glass of wine and bucket of ice. After check out, we left our baggage to do final site seeing, came back to have them call for a cab which they said they would do willingly upon check out, no problem. He made us feel we were invading their time and couldn't wait to get rid of us, closing the door in our face after perfoming the phone call. Then when I came back to ask them to call again, since it had been according to my watch over 10 minutes, I was told it had only been a couple minutes, made the call and promptly went back behind closed doors. Very disturbing since I had thought we had made friends of that particular person upon checking in....not. I had so hoped being in a small town, the people were genuine, which we found in most cases, but not with the front desk after we checked out.

The hotel left nothing left to be desired..it had it all!!!! Everything we needed and asked for was provided. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable (thanks Keith for all of the suggestions). The junior suites are roomy, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Each one has a front porch where we enjoyed a continental breakfast almost every morning. The location is great for walking into town or just around the harbor area but still not far from the Southernmost Point.

We spend three wonderful days at the Marquesa Hotel, nicely located to walk around the town, large confortable room decorated with taste, two swimming pools, nice garden, free parking and good service. They have also a restaurant good but a bit expensive.

Just returned from three nights in paradise at the Marquesa. This was our third visit and the place is just like going to heaven but you do not have to die for the honor. Beautiful room, great garden and two wonderful pools, attentive and friendly staff who take care of all your needs with a smile. One of the best places you could ever stay. The term "first rate" is an understatement when applied here.

The Marquesa is as relaxing and inviting as we imagined. Although you pay top dollar, the money is well spent if you want relaxation, top quality accomodations, and outstanding personal service.
The location is close to the action, yet tucked away on a quiet street. We stayed 4 nights and could have closed up our real lives and stayed forever.
