I'm just coming back from a great stay at this Sheraton hotel.
The property is large with many buildings and feels like a resort. The pool is very nice.
Check in was fast and efficient, Benjamin was friendly and gave us tips about the property. Our rooms were great - seemed recently renovated and stylish. The bathrooms are oversized with separate toilet and a lot of storage space. The rooms looked very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. slept really well.
The location is good, a little far from Duval street, but right on the beach with water acticities offered right infront of the hotel. There is a complimentary shuttle service also.
Parking is free and very convenient, all around the property.
Pavla the concierge is absolutely amazing, made reservations for us for all kinds of water activities and was genuinely interested to hear our feedback. Everyone at the restaurant was really friendly and polite. The breakfast buffett is great and fun - you make your own waffles.
The key lime coladas at the bar were delicious and drinks were priced very reasonably.
Also Olga at the front desk and the manager Jitka were very accomodating. Thanks to everyone!
Would definitely recommend that hotel to all my friends!

We would definitely stay here again. The rooms were very spacious (the shower was HUGE), the price was reasonable, and the staff was very nice and helpful during our stay. Our room had a balcony which gave us a perfect view of the ocean. The staff at the front desk were wonderful and very informative, they also had discounts on just about every restaurant and activity available. They are a few miles from the downtown area, but they have free shuttles that run every hour all day long... we also rented bicycles for only $5 a day to get around, which was a lot of fun and gave us a chance to see everything on the island. When my husband's pedal fell off his bike, one of the hotel staff members was there within minutes to bring us a different bike. Their restaurant and pool area are also very nice and clean.

After reading so many negative reviews about the staff at this hotel I was a little nervous about check-in after we arrived. We reserved this hotel with FF miles and basically due to its proximity to Smather's Beach for the the family. Check-in went smoothly and efficiently and at no time did we encounter any rudeness from the staff. We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the king room and the sofa bed for our 6 year old and was better than most we've endured. A lot of shelf space in the bathroom and the big, modern shower and fixtures were pluses. I liked the fact that there were dividing doors between the master king bed and the living area. Also, the dining tables and chairs were a nice touch, along with the big fridge, microwave and Starbuck's coffee. I also liked how are room had a lot of natural light, but shaded at the right moments of the day by lots of trees.

Loved the pool with it's cascading waterfall and how it was lit up at night. The only negative point was the man distributing towels. He seemed a little grumpy, like he didn't want to be there and looked like he didn't want to be approached.

We didn't use the free transportation into town, but drove and parked instead.

Overall, I'd say we had a better than expected stay.

I got this hotel via Priceline and glad I did. The room was a nicely appointed suite. Big shower, big bathroom, fridge/microwave, sitting area with a comfy couch and a bedroom. The bed was comfy.

The pool was nice. The hottub was too hot though. That could have something to do with a tan though.

The restaurant had really good food considering it was in a Sheraton. The hamburger was to die for! Highly recommend it.

Seriously, there was nothing wrong with this hotel as far as I could tell. It was not upscale but still very nice.

I had read reviews prior to leaving to go to the Sheraton and was seriously condsidering canceling and finding a different place, but I'm glad I didn't. The location was perfect for us, a family with 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 younger children. We occupied 2 suites comfortably for 2 nights. For the price, we got twice the space, we would have had to have 3 rooms anywhere else. The beach was right across the street, it had palm trees close to the water for shade, and you could rent watersport equipment there also.. The children enjoyed snorkeling for free (with our own equipment) there were crabs, urchins, and fish in the rocky area on the beach. The swimming pool was nice with a decent bar. We did not try to use the free shuttle as we were not sure when we would be ready to come back, but you have to go to the registration desk and get tickets ahead of time. Since it was off season there, we did not have trouble finding parking in town. I highly recommend eating at the Blue Heaven for breakfast, and have the Lobster Benedict YUMMMM! It was even worth the about $22 it cost me. We did not have a bad meal anywhere we went. We did try the Better Than Sex Dessert shop, it was very good but overpriced $11-$14 for dessert! We survived the Duval Crawl and a taxi ride back was about $13.
